I've got an old Counterpoint DAC I traded a pair of speakers for...it came with the original receipt ($3,800) when new. The speakers I traded usually go for around $500-$600 used.To be honest, the DAC sounds exactly like a $3,000-$4,000 DAC should...

Floorstander or Sub/Sat
I like floorstander, but only if I have no setup issues with them in my room. If I do..I go with smaller stand mount speakers and subs.Get the bass right and everything else will fall into place with just a little tweaking.Dave

Arghh Too Many CDP Choices...Help
I owned the Sony XA-777es for around a year...good CD player but not outstanding. Now on well recorded SACD's it is outstanding...not sure how many of those there are though because I sold it a couple years ago.I did just pick up an old DAC though...

Most Krells are neutral...sometimes not a good thing with digital, ie...what goes in, comes out! BTW, I own Krell and like it a lot...not sure I would own it with Klipsch though?Hook it up and have a listen?Dave
