| Vintage Altec Speakers on Legs They're not horns. Just a 3 way design. Are there any particular model numbers I should look for on the speakers? I don't even know where I'd go to sell the components, and I don't want to have to sit on them because no one wants them anymore. I'm... | |
| Best high end monitors? I feel like a broken record, but SP Technology Timepiece 3.0 - You may not even need the subs with these. | |
| Best room treatment I'm using panels from GIK with excellent results. | |
| 2-way speaker with best bass I've been feeding my 3.0s with a pair of Channel Islands D-200s. I don't have a tube pre (Sim Audio P-5LE), but I have a nice tube CD player and lots of vinyl. Things are sounding great so far. | |
| 2-way speaker with best bass I've said it before and I'll say it again, but take a good look at the SP Technology Timepiece 3.0 | |
| It's 2008, what speakers deserve recognition. SP Technology Timepiece 3.0's | |
| Best of RMAF 2008 I'm pretty sure the Spectron amps were powering speakers by SP Technology. | |
| Your ''best kept secret'' speaker choice ? SP Technology | |
| studio equipment that makes it into home hifi If you're looking for a studio monitor with living room looks, and a sound to die for, look no further than the SP Technology Timepiece 3.0 | |
| What has been your most satisfying component? I have to say it's been my SP Technology 3.0 speakers. I can now honestly stand up and say "I've heard it all". | |
| My speakers don't "dissapear" I suggest you look into some room treatments (I use GIK panels) to tame first reflection areas and bass traps for room corners. It's a small price to pay for big sound. | |
| SP Tech Timepiece 3.0-Dynaudio C1 comparison? I can't remember the brand (I did a google search for metal speaker stands), but they're 24" high and each stand has 4 columns which I filled with lead shot. I think I paid around $250 for them. | |
| My speakers don't "dissapear" I had the same problem with my Mini Utopias. I tried everything, but still couldn't get it right. The Focals can be a bit on the shrill side, so that might have had something to do with it. I bought a pair of SP Tech Timepiece 3.0's and I wouldn't... | |
| SP Tech Timepiece 3.0-Dynaudio C1 comparison? I'm still thoroughly enjoying my 3.0's three months in. They just sound "right". Nothing hyped or emphasized. Just pure musical enjoyment. It's really a shame that this company doesn't get more publicity. | |
| Time to change. But to what? You can add SP Technology to your list. I have the Timepiece 3.0 and I'm done looking for speakers. |
