Mods for bright speaker?
Very good advice Cloudgif, I would never buy a product knowing there may be a problem with a component I am not willing to change- that dreaded word synergy.
Audio Aero Capitole MK II: Performance & Problems
You can NOT play a mk II player with the drawer open, just something they have changed. I was at first very confused about this when I recieved mine as well.
Any Thomas Dolby fans out there?
I have the minds eye dvd, its ok nothing to jump for joy about but entertaining some times :)
Any Thomas Dolby fans out there?
Rock on Thomas Dolby is the man!! I love his stuff, I even have his DVD(most don't know he has one). I love the diversity of his music, the difference in music from "flat earth" to "aliens ate my buick" to "astronauts and heretic" to "gate to the ...
Why upgrade transport???
Mitch- I don't know how attached you are to the rest of your gear or even what it is worth, but if you could sell it all and get an audio aero capitole mk I or mk II, I think you would be very pleased. Run it direct to the amp and it will blow you...
Wolcott Presence 220M system compatiblity?
That's interesting Albert perhaps I was misinformed. I believe the speakers were Avalon Eidolon's and it had bass problems, I'll try to get all of the facts(as they are presented to me) together and let you know what comes of it- more then likely ...
Wolcott Presence 220M system compatiblity?
From a very reliable source I am told the Wolcott's are amazing on electrostat's and planer speakers but just don't do an exceptional job on dynamic speakers. The idea is great they are incredible amps but work much better on non-cone type speaker...

Interesting topic, I personally don't care for the format of AA hence I have never posted there, it seems unorganized to me. If reviewers don't feel its worth their time- fine with me! I have noticed the few times I wandered over that things were ...
What's so bad about Sovtek 6922s?
I had a set of Sovtek 6SN7 in my amp and replaced them with Raytheon's and the improvements were amazing, it brought new life to the entire system- more depth and feeling of being there, very impressive. I am not sure I would say the Sovteks are b...

Richard Gray 1200S, Hydra or ????
Good response A_Sanctuary_of_Sound, just one more thing I would like to add that any of these components will perform differently in your home, all of us have slightly different AC power and it can cause a large difference. Looks like an in home a...

I agree with Ejlif, I have never heard any digital come close to this player(capitole Mk2) the mk1 ain't a slouch though either, if you can't swing the mk2 the first generation would do you well also. ~Tim
