Conrad Johnson ACT2 against Audio Research Ref 3
Along your auditioning trails, have any of you thrown the Lamm L2 into the mix? If so, could you perhaps post a link where this might have been previously discussed?
what is the REAL deal with DK
We used an older DK integrated amp in our room at the show. I was very suprised as to the performance of that unit. It just creamed a pair of nuforce amps.Michael, what comprised the rest of your system?
Conrad Johnson ACT2 against Audio Research Ref 3
All I can say, is the Ref 3 must be quite a special preamp, and you all are fortunate to own one.
BEST AUDIOGON POSTS
I enjoy two types of discussions: those that are heated debates between folks who can effectively state their positions without rancor, and those that spin completely out of control and fall into nonsensical humor. Oh yes, and I like music recomme...
When is digital going to get the soul of music?
Let me disclose my personal relationship with Ori of Oritek Audio. I went to his house to purchase a pair of X-1's. I spent 3 hours listening to his system while waiting out rush hour. I then emailed him a bit, mostly criticizing his X-1's in my ...
Do IC and Power Cables Really Make a Difference?
I do feel, however, that there may be a cumulative and synergistic benefit to using the Audience products across the board--though I have no way of knowing for sure and am not about to experiment with other brands to find out. The insidious nature...
Do IC and Power Cables Really Make a Difference?
Dodgealum, I agree with you about the benefits of upgraded wire, and I'm glad to see another converted skeptic.I believe Psychicanimal may be inferring that Audience power cords are repackaging of considerably less expensive wire, but that's just ...

When is digital going to get the soul of music?
Mmakshak, you an apology to the general membership for not disclosing your personal relationship with the owner of Oritek in your many, many recommendations of Oritek X-2 wire.I realize you may truly love the Oritek X-2 interconnects, but your rel...
Plasma 42 inch ....
The audio synch problem continues to be an annoyance. Audio is ahead of video.I have recently noticed a sync problem with our cable TV viewing, in particular last night on TNT. We have a Sony CRT and Adelphia cable. Also, some video is noticeably "...
When is digital going to get the soul of music?
I know that Audiogon is about high-end, but I'm wondering if there is anything that can be done about car stereo's cd players. This is mainly where I hear the hardness that I speak of. All this time, when you've been complaining about the lack of ...
When is digital going to get the soul of music?
First, I heard a cd by Connie Dover,"Last Night by the River" at Ori's, of Oritek Audio, house that was listenable to me. I guess this would explain the 15+ posts you've made proclaiming the Oritek X-2 as the best interconnect made. Thanks for clea...
First Sound vs Aesthetix
Leave it to Gunbei to clear up any confusion!;)
Your 3 favorite serious low end recordings
The soundtrack comment by Onemug reminded me of another Audiogon member who often uses the soundtrack to "Batman Begins" to test gear. That soundtrack has some ball shaking bass. Yes, I meant to type ball, not wall.
