| New Technics SL1200gr, anyone taken the leap. I concur. The same with Dynavector 20x. | |
| New Technics SL1200gr, anyone taken the leap. I spin primarily jazz with some classic rock, progressive rock, roots and folk. Almost no classical. Its been years since I have heard a VPI, there are no dealers in my area. Although, they have a great rep, the continual introduction and disconti... | |
| New Technics SL1200gr, anyone taken the leap. Signal Cable installed. I burned it in with a audioengine b1 streamer. Lots of natural detail, shimmering highs compared to stock cable. FY reference I am running it through a Simaudio LP5.3 into a Simaudio i5 integrated into Totem Hawks. AudioArt... | |

| New Technics SL1200gr, anyone taken the leap. Thanks for the tip on Signal Cable. I have some of Frank's cables on my other system. Great value. I just ordered mine. | |
| New Technics SL1200gr, anyone taken the leap. Knollbent. I haven’t done that yet. I am looking at the Audioquest Sydney cables, but wondering how much of difference that would make. IMHO, I would do something about your rack first. I have a Mobile Fidelity Superheavy weight as a clamp. | |
| New Technics SL1200gr, anyone taken the leap. Hello last lemming. I just picked mine up. Have you upgraded the tonearm cable or mat? | |
| Dynavector retiped Retips are much less expensive. Soundsmith less than$400 tops. | |
| New Technics SL1200gr, anyone taken the leap. Just picked one up after auditioning. It does not sound vintage. Fit and finish are superb. I am coming from a tricked out Rega P3-2000,with aftermarket pulley, ball bearing, acrylic platter and power supply. Hassle free set up. What more can one ... | |
| Dynavector retiped I second PBN's recommendation. I had my 10x5 retipped 6 years ago by Soundsmith. It improved the sound of the cart. I just upgraded to a used 20x Soundsmith retip, I never have heard the original, but this cart was a huge upgrade to the 10x5 retip. | |
| LAT International I was their customer for many years. Sorry to hear about Lou's health. They certainly provided a great product for the money. I still have some of their cables in my system. | |
| Request advice-need "brighter" speakers than Totem Hawks I have had the Hawks for 10 years. Run them with a Simaudio I5. Have you tried Nordost Blue Heaven or above cables? To me they are too bright with the Hawks, but with your high frequency hearing loss they might do the trick. | |
| Preamp phono suggestions Used Simaudio LP 5.3 for phono | |
| Your last concert was to see who and when? Living Colour @ the Empire State Plaza 6/4/14. Nothing better than live music. | |
