Is it possible to have an accurate speaker
I think the point of any good speaker is to reproduce whatever is put into it. If it always sounds "round" or "warm" regardless of the source it can't be particularly accurate as, after all, music tonality is nearly infinitely variable. Or something.
My amp has no faults
If the amp performs as designed, it is inherently perfect by definition. Whether or not it's perfect for your needs or matches perfectly with everything around it is a matter of personal taste subject to mood, humidity, bird noises, neighborhood e...
Is there really a need for panel speakers in 2012
Maggies miss a bet by not using artwork on their panels. Are they weirdly art-phobic at Magnapan? It's sort of obvious...really...with the option of a large bland hunk of fabric or something visually interesting you might want around...has this be...

Plus one for wire directionality. Nobody needs directionless wiring. Nobody.
Tube amp terminology
There are very few amp design explanations anywhere that don't descend into some areas of complexity that really do require some education about this stuff. Good luck.
My amp has no faults
My amp refuses to go outside and get my newspaper.
interesting article about turntables and vinyl
After attending anything like Stadium Rock, I want to take a shower to get that essence off.

So the "question validity topic and sarcasm police" don't have the day off. Members of this lofty crowd of opinionated elitists who feel that scoring a point for themselves in the race for "value judgement point score totals", can feel comforted b...
Need some advice
Yeah...how DARE you take up forum space with a brand specific comparison question!

I have to give props to Magnapan for exactly that reason...the fact that they sound great but are utterly impractical in most rooms but still popular is testament to "audio geekdom" at its most classic. There's a restaurant nearby that has the sma...
interesting article about turntables and vinyl
It's always interesting when non tech minded boneheads publish stuff like that...the Sunday NY Times magazine recently had a full page article about the ProCo Rat guitar "stomp box" distortion gizmo, one of which I've owned (and used daily) for ov...
possibility of refinishing speaker
You could also achieve a flat black finish with a blow torch...just make sure you do it in a well ventilated room. My duct tape comment was in jest...man, you gotta be careful around here. I've thought about the opposite for my speakers...Silverli...
interesting article about turntables and vinyl
I don't mind saying this again: Turntables are the only things that will play LPs. I'm not a "format snob" but when I replaced a long dead turntable a few years ago, resurrected my hundreds of LPs that had been languishing in boxes for years, and ...
possibility of refinishing speaker
Cover them with satin black duct tape. At least you could remove it someday if necessary.
Are Monoblocks better than Multi-channeled amps??
Monoblocks take up too much space for my purposes, otherwise all good. I think another good idea is to buy well designed stereo amps that can be converted to mono when you have the budget (and/or space) to get another one. The conversion is often ...
