The new Synergistic Research BLUE fuses ....
Oh brother! Geoffkait, or "Katy", you're too irrelevant.
For tube sound, which is more important: preamp or power amp?
I own a Single Ended amp with 2 power tubes and a single input tube running in Class A (also with a tube rectifier) putting out around 12 watts per side, and have no idea what sort of tube life I should expect. No specs are available from the manu...
Soundstage and explosive dynamics?
Inna…are you female? Not that it matters really, but I get a female vibe from you and since there are so few females around this forum I'd simply like to know. Thanks.

Since Mr. Denney has addressed me directly, I'll respond directly to him. I did hear someplace that your fuses are sourced from China, I suppose we can start there with you addressing that, but I've wondered about the "how and why" of these fuses ...

I think if a tube is on, it's wearing out…I'd like to see what at atmasphere says about this.
REL Subwoofer Rattling
If you think all China made stuff is "junk sourced" please toss your iPhone out the window. The quality control in manufacturing is all that matters regardless of whether it's made in China or Cleveland.
Sub Integration
I’ve run a test CD to see where my main speakers "actually" roll off in the bass realm, as opposed to confusing "in room" compared to "anechoic" ratings, or actually misleading published specs. You can use a test tone to reveal room bass issues wi...
Upgrading form Pass integrated amplifier to a better one
The Rogers EHF 200 (or the 100) is a great sounding integrated amp with loads of dynamic slam although sort of pricey…I've heard 'em, know people who have 'em, and if "tube like" is a thing you want out of an amp, get a tube amp. Lifetime warranty...

Over 3,000 $130 fuses sold…I have to wonder what the cost of manufacturing those things actually is, and, although not in the literal sense, there's your boiling vat of snake oil right there!

I had an early-ish Egnator for a while and it was really interesting in that you could pan between the 6v6s and EL84s…cool. I don't necessarily collect guitar amps but have owned, borrowed, and played through a lot of different tube amps over deca...
Triode or Ultra-linear? Why?
I get that and I am amazed how many amps Mesa has made over the years, from Prune Music modded Princeton Reverbs, to every possible tube amp style and so many current models I can’t keep track (I had a Mesa Boogie combo amp in the early 80s that h...

Also it’s another fact (!) that tubes are more fun…you can swap ’em out, hold them and look at them, collect them, watch and listen to them die (macabre, but part of the tube deal), bewilder friends. People ranging from my age group to my kid’s fr...
Schiit Reference Sytem review: Freya into Yggdrasil, into Vidar
Schiit (I spell this wrong often) has hinted (in their site info) that the Loki Mini might be joined by another EQ…Loki Maxi maybe? I bet balanced could be in the offing if that happens. Kalili…my review, such as it is, is here on Audiogon somepla...
Tastes change with age?
I've been into jazz somewhat for a long time really, used to go to a late night jazz club in Honolulu after gigs, saw Monk when I was a kid (opening for Peter, Paul, and Mary at the Hollywood Bowl…my first exposure to serious jazz piano), saw Joe ...
For tube sound, which is more important: preamp or power amp?
I've found that the "expense" of tube power amps based on tube replacement cost is assuaged by the fact (a fact to me anyway…which is as "facty" as I need) that often the tube amp is cheaper to buy relative to the sound quality of SS amps. Case in...
