Get the acrylic platter and enjoy for a period. Then get the Blue stylus and enjoy it too. Don't spend on 3rd party platter mats yet.
Pro-Ject Carbon DC Mat? Platter? Stylus?
I have a Carbon DC and am looking to upgrade the mat or platter.
Here in canada i can get the Acryl-It platter for $137 taxes in. Or i can get a herbies way excellent mat for $100 shipped. Or a Cork-It mat for $28 taxes in.
Any suggestions? Also I can get a 2m Blue Stylus for $170 taxes in. should I do the stylus too or stick with the 2m red?

Stock are generally not great. I’m not sure how good the BJ ICs are but I can solidly recommend these. Don’t be put off by the price. These are simply excellent and have demolished $250 ICs in my systems. Clear and transparent with no smoothing away of information. They are not made anymore and are only 6' long. Again, don’t be tempted to bang in all the upgrades in one go. |
