Schiit Freya Thump or pop sound

Hi guys just a quick question for anyone ,I just purchased a Schiit Freya thats being used with Mcintosh mc452 and D150.Using xlr and each time I power off the unit I get this loud Thump sound through my Wilson Sophia 3 speakers.The thump also can be heard through my dual subwoofers .I love this preamp but that noise is annoying.Ive tried muting before power off ,volume is always set to lowest.Just curious if anyone else is getting this ,Thanks for reading .

Turn the amp off BEFORE the preamp as that should render your system thumpless.
@wolf_garcia is correct.

Turn on source, pre-amp, power amp.
Turn off amp, pre-amp, source.

If you follow that order, you should have no issues.
Turn on sequence =  source, pre-amp, power amp.
Turn off sequence =  power amp, pre-amp, source.

+1 This should be is written in stone in the audiophile bible

Back in the late 70s my band was using another keyboard players rig while subbing for them...powerful amps of some sort, a relatively largish pile of speakers, and a warning to our keyboard player to NOT turn the preamp off first...he forgets...fries the entire pile. Oops.
Dont forget your subs should be cycled on/off in the same order as your amplifier.
Also using a Freya.
Just like the above posters have said-
 No thumps, because...
LOFO- amp is Last On First Off.

My REL subs go into a sort of "sleep" mode when everything else is off, and haven't thumped once yet...I sort of forget about them as they never seem to be part of the switching on and off ritual.

Thank you all for such fast responses,I have been turning my amp first and muting the Freya ,even tried waiting a minute to turn off ,turns out the subs being still on and having gain set to round 70 % seems to have been the culprit.i now just turn down and wait for amps to power off then all is well. Again thank you all for your input .This is my first attempt to a serious stereo system and i appreciate everyone helping out .
