Yes, im hoping its already got enough hours on it.The voodoo, is just a power strip more or less, its good, though I find the amp still sounds alot better plugged into the wall.The rack is a goody. |

Hi,not yet,I will go for them next.My tubes have 1200 hours on them,and they are not too bad.I was thinking recently maybe I should try some 50s amperexes, 12ax7 in the cd player,and try and get some warmth and smoothness there first.Im currently using treble cleffs,and they are stunning on good recordings.Im trying to bring some not so good recordings back into play.A more middle ground if you like.Im slowly getting there.My speaker cables are doing it,but ideally some really nice cables would be the go.Ill hold off a bit longer.Hows your system going. |
Hi,a mhzs cd88h,a Chinese cd player.its alright too.I have a ps audio ac12 power cord on it which gives it speed and fullness.$138 on eBay which was a bit of a bargain ,I liked it more there than anywhere else on the system.Thanks wax waves for you suggestion on the Mullard tube. |

Hi there,thankyou.I have tried the one pc before,and it was too bass heavy for the speakers I had,everything in the kitchen,rattled,not just the pots on the stove.These monitors Im using now could do with some extra weight I recon.Ive ordered the rack keith ,so Im interested in seeing how that goes.Ive always had a cheap rack,in the past.Ill let you know my opinion; if you like,in a couple of weeks.A quadraspire sunoko vent T bamboo equipment rack.Have you explored that area before. |
Hi there keith .im not sure what to do next.Ive got a pretty good sound coming out now.I should sit tight for a week. Play and listen.Sure I could easily spend another 5 or 6 k on power cables.I did come to Australia to save.Ive made huge gains this last week,no real sound stage to going up ,way past the ceiling.I cant rule out going a little crazy in the near future though. |

Yes the stereo sounds way better not just a little. Could be wiring, room acoustics and the absence of a cheap rack, may have bought everything on.Anyway its very satisfying to get gains, like that. |
Hi the room is,3 mtrs by 6.5 mtrs.The monitors are kef ls 50,a stunning little speaker really.They can be had as little as $1100 on the gon.Theyre all I need at this stage,they do like lots of power. |

Hi,you should be able to get this there,I recommend it highly.Im getting 3d sound now.I put on a the division bell from pink Floyd,an old album, maybe not one of there best,well.If someone pointed a lazer beam at me,I would of thought I was at the concert.The new information is sweet,and crystal clear.The rack is a quadraspire vento t,with bamboo shelves.The reviews says it will revolutionise your system,it has mine.A little more,,alot of the brightness I had is gone now,and there is more air around the intruments,and basically hearing way more.I wouldn't have believed,until I actually herd it.Good ventilation,for the equipement too. |

Hi there,I have to share with you all,Ive just struck gold again.On audiogon,voodoo are selling power distribution boxes,mine is a 4 plug model,$299.Ive plugged everything into that and a good pc from that to the wall,so all the pc is getting clean power before it gets a riggle on to your equipment,if you know what I mean.Wow,the music is just pouring out now,what a fabulous midrange and weight.I better give voodoo a good feed back for such a excellent product. |
Hi,there is one for sale there now.Mine was b stock, it looks brand new to me, I have that on the rack too, though it has good isolation feet.Im yet to play with different pc on it, but the picture is very clear now and im just about there. |
Yes.After trying the power cables yesterday,I have on hand,and reflecting on the PC from the past.I may go back to shunyata on the pre amp next.Just to know.Going from the ls 15 to the ref 5se,has been pleasure and pain for me.I still have the 6h30 Dr tubes to consider..for the pre.What speakers are you using Keith,are you happy with them. |

I believe audio,is better well spent, than on automobiles.At this stage of my life,I'll keep under 2 k for a PC,second hand.Though I like to hear and see what you guys are doing.I should target a audio show in the USA next year,I've never been to one. |

Hi,I'd like to hear a krell one day, .I currently have a plinius sa100 mk 2.The second time around for me,I miss the 250,but as I'm not really settled at the moment ,this will do for now,and I may stay with it.Keith,I'm working in the Pilbara,north west Australia,I may sell up in NZ,and just fly in fly out from bali,a 2 hour flight from here.I can't give up this money ,golden handcuffs they call it. |

Good one keith,If youre getting such good results,I would stay with what youre happy with for now.I would like to keep upgrading,but there is lots of other things that make good living.If you have to still upgrade the sound,records are way cool,expensive though,for the whole set up.Is judyazblues going to contribute something positive,Ive only seen negative so far.cheers |
Keith,when I had my vinyl,going.I would always put on my favourite record on about 3am before I started work.There is no outside noise and all your senses are tuning in on just the music.You get more emotion I believe with a good record.Ive acquired a new turntable,arm and phonostage for my new set up.Ill get it going next year,after I go back to nz,to get the rest of the bits and pieces. |

Yes.The one is a very good cable too keith.An old favorite. Im very happy with my cables.Harmonix golden performance and the onyx interconnects, I have no plans to try and improve there.Not in your guys league, but I like what im hearing. |
