There used to be a guy who repaired and updated Sony SCD-1 players.

He used to advertise on Audiogon to repair and update the Sony SCD-1 players.  Is he still around or in business?
I have one that needs to be looked at as the sacd selection switch seems to go to cd instead of sacd.  thanks, for the help-dave

My SCD-1 mods were done by this group, specifically  Warren Gregoire out of the Bay Area. See the contact info at the bottom of the link.

FWIW, I bought a cartridge from Warren several years ago. He worked out of a secure warehouse in San Leandro. If he can’t help you, he will tell you immediately. He did mods on certain Sony pieces, not all of them. I had a very expensive Sony two-piece CD player and Warren told me he couldn’t help me. He seemed pretty honest to me.
