Where can I purchase some good quality lubricating oil for my turntable

KAB Electroacoustics supplied what I use on a Technics SL1210M5G.

Buy from an Origin Live dealer (check with Audio Revelation) or as I did direct from Origin Live.

Oil for TT? I’m assuming your question is in regards to "best sound"?

I can only refer to my long experience with VPI designs. This is from (listening).

I found the Motul 300V _ 5W40 to work best with my ceramic ball bearing and stock thrust plate. This is specific to my history with non-inverted bearing VPI designs/. So I’d hope those that posted recommendations, have had experience with your particular TT. It can depend on the bearing design.

This is an area where it takes the will, the effort, and the ability to understand the system you have and all of it’s perceived attributes. So, your question may best be answered by those who have long history with Origin Live TTs.

A dealer may list their recommendations for longevity. In some cases, this is not the best for sound quality.

Everyone has a magic answer to this question.  But first you might consult Origin Live. They presumably know what are the needs of whatever bearing they use in their turntables.  KAB does have, or claims to have, the correct original oil for Technics DD bearings.  On the other hand, single-weight, non-detergent motor oils work, too.  I think I use 0-20W in both my Kenwood L07D and my Victor TT101, but I would need to check (at home) to be sure. You can also buy very high quality machine oil in most good hardware stores.  Just avoid oil made for cars that contains detergents of any kind.
