What ST in Bryston 3B-ST means ?

Is there any differences between ST series and non-ST series ?
I've noticed that the price is quite different though...
What class Bryston amps are in ? If class A, are they supposed to be generating lot of heat ?

Thanks ! Great info.
I auditioned Bryston with Dynaudio and the sound was still in my head for long time which I never felt before...
What am I getting into ???....

By the way, does the amp get really hot under normal condition ?
My 4B-ST get really warm to the touch especially after a long period running my 4ohm speakers and not a tear splitting decibels. Music transients, speaker impedences and amp location (in a cabinet) are just a few variables to take into consideration to determine if an amplifier will be quite warm -even class a/b amps
