You should try Audio Adviser. They pay shipping both ways on everything. I have tried CD players, Pre -Amps, and returned both on their dime. Never have purchased speakers, but I’m assuming its the same deal
Tekton Design's new THE PERFECT SET equals "goosebumps time"

Anyone should be able to post whatever they want.To the extent that the post is on topic and not profane, I agree completely. ... If anything, it's the moderation/censoring that's a unacceptable.I have found the moderation here to be excellent and have not seen or experienced anything that would justify calling it "censoring." Profane and off-topic posts deserve to be deleted. Otherwise, every thread results in a free-for-all. |
First off...two thumbs up for Mapman ! Second … If someone is truly building a speaker for SET low powered amps , why don't they design the speaker with a higher impedance than 8 ohms ? Why not 10 , 12 or 16 ohms ? Three...Teajay lists these speakers at 100 db. efficiency , Tekton's website lists them at 96 db. ? Several other reviewers have stated that they figure Tekton's to be several points lower than what is claimed by the manufacturer . As someone else has stated , a few points make a big difference in this situation . Looking forward to reading Teajays comparison of the two that he has recently reported on here . A truly low powered amp friendly speaker for @ $2,000 sure would be nice ! Just saying... please no flames ! |
@waltersalas I just asked up there if the buyer has to pay to ship them back and the answer was yes, with the caveat that the refund gets dinged for dust on them! And judging by other posts that suggest the same, I don't know what you're talking about as far as paid shipping both ways. I guess you can't really call Tekton that company. As far as the companies themselves offering that, who cares??? Isn't that what a reputable dealer does? Some people seem to really got off on the exclusivity of unusual and unheard of brands that can't be bothered to actually distribute their products and think that intrinsically constitutes quality and value. Nonsense. Go read that patent. It describes about every variation on a box speaker ever built. |
