bryston 4b sst- could you or should you turn

Looking at a bryston 4b sst amp , but I am the type of person that does not leave anything ( lights, etc. ) on when not in use. Can I turn this amp off when not in use and just turn in on when in use, maybe a couple of hours per day or should I look for a different amp that does not require to be left on all the time?

Don't worry about turning on and off a Bryston amp. Bryston's are built like a brick and also sound great after only a few minutes of warm up. I have had mine for three years and never leave it on when not listening to music. I don't think you can go wrong with the 4bsst.

Tvad, aren't you talking about amps with high output impedance? The Bryston's output impedance is low enough relative to a speaker's impedance to not be an issue.

That's a good question.

I have 8 ohm nominal speakers with minimum impedance of about 4 ohms. I know my speakers display significantly more balanced music reproduction with amps that double power as impedance is halved (Pass XA-60.5, Belles 150A Reference, Belles 350A Reference, Bel Canto Ref1000) versus amps that do not (NuForce Ref9SE V2, VAC Musicbloc 160, Atma-Sphere M-60).
