Fyne Audio - Anyone heard lf it?
If they get distribution in the US I would really like to try them out.  Tannoys are nearly non-existant in the US.  I live in the tri-state area and had a lot of trouble tracking down a Tannoy dealer.  Even then it turned out to be by appointment...
How Are Rotel Preamps?
I too am looking at getting a Rotel 1570 Preamp.  looks like a great piece.  Toroidal Transformer.  Nice Dac.  XLR input and out.  Looks like a great preamp for the money.  I am thinking about this used over the Parasound P5.Any other thoughts?

I am liking the way the Nuforce DDA-120 Sounds with the power conditioner on it.  Like I mentioned before, I'm beginning to believe that the top end (treble) problem I've been having wasn't really that there was too much top end or that the top en...

I am using the Pm8005 in home theater bypass mode, and unfortunately to switch it in and out of this mode you need to hold down the button on the front of the unit for three seconds. which is a minor inconvenience, but an inconvenience none the l...

@bpolettiThat's a bummer.  I just ordered these speakers.  I gotta give them a little more time before I off them.  I just tried them using a Nuforce DDA-120 that was powering my desktop setup and they sounded much better.  I then added the power ...

Would speaker cables help with this top end brittleness too?  I am currently using a some 12awg 99.95% Oxygen free cable that I put banana ends on.  Not the best, but not the worst either.
Warmer sounding Solid State
@aniwolfeYes I have.  Will it help??  I ordered one and am actually expecting it to get delivered today.  A very modest Furman AC-215A.  On the cheap, but I just wanted to see if it would help the situation.  You see, I have a Peachtree Nova 150 s...
Warmer sounding Solid State
@bpoletti Warmer sounding because my speakers have a bit of gain in the upper registers.  I am looking for a power option that will balance them out.

I have been leaning towards the Parasound P6 paired with my modest Adcom 535ii then upgrading to a more legitimate power in the future.I did look into the Musical Fidelity M3i as well.  I like the idea of a completely analog unit.  No DAC, dedicat...
Cambridge 851A vs Marantz PM8006
Looks like I might end up with both.  I will report back which one sounds better with the Oberons.

Never heard of Decware.  I’ll check it out.
Cambridge 851A vs Marantz PM8006
Dali Oberon 5’s (On order.  Should be here in a few days).  Apple Airport Express and Teac UD-301 DAC.  Maybe I will just order each one.  Just seems like a shame to buy and return/sell. I am leaning towards the Marantz and would only go for the C...
Cambridge 851A vs Marantz PM8006
***Not more powerful than the Cambridge, but more powerful than it is stated at 70W into 4ohms.

Not that it’s related to Black Friday, but Upscale Audio is still selling the Musical Fidelity M2Si at $599 which I’m told is a phenomenal price.
Cambridge 851A vs Marantz PM8006
My mistake.  Yea it looks like the Cambridge is almost double the power than the marantz.  It’s just that so many people say the PM8005 is modestly rated and is actually more powerful.  Good to know that the Cambridge is neautral though.  That helps.
