Torus RM60 BAL vs Richard Gray Powerhouse
Mzkmxcv: my homeowners insurance covers my electronics, so I'm not really concerned with that end of things.Stereo5: I've considered the PS Audio products in the past...the PS 5 and PS 10 look promising for a front end application.
Torus RM60 BAL vs Richard Gray Powerhouse
Mzkmxcv,It isn't that it is SOOOO bad (though I do get mini surges that make my lights flicker and such) additionally, and particularly in the summer my 120v is often more like 105-110v with neighborhood demand.Like many crazies in this hobby, I'm...
Torus RM60 BAL vs Richard Gray Powerhouse
I like the idea of the separate breakers on the Torus unit, but it doesn't appear as though these are insulated from each other inside the unit.  I also really like the size of the Richard Gray unit as it would appear as though it is REALLY over b...
Step Down Transformers?!
Yes, yes, and yes!I am indeed building a theater...I pulled the other two dedicated 20 amp circuits for subwoofers (stereo subs, each on their own).  My idea was/is to use the stepdown/isolation transformer for processing and main amplifiers.I was...
Is a GREAT turntable under $2000 possible???
I recently got my hands on a Scheu demo with an Ortofon Super MM 40 and Rega arm for well under your $2000 price...truly a work of art! I had never used a Scheu table before, but the performance seems to be that of tables costing quite a bit more....

Phonostages with Adjustable Curves, the Concise List

Phonostages with Adjustable Curves, the Concise List

I will be looking forward to your impressions of the PH10.  I have had this on my radar since purchasing my Scheu a month ago...I've got some older recording and European pressings that could benefit from some of the other EQ curves this unit can ...
Alto Utopia to Scala Utopia V1, worth the difference?
Thank you for your reply! What would you say the most significant differences are between these speakers?I'm obsessed with imaging and soundstage depth...I like feeling and sound of the music coming out of infinity and the speakers completely disa...

Jm Labs / Focal Port Foam
Thank you for your input!  I played some bass heavy music that chewed the rest of the foam to shreds... probably won't worry too much about this as I plan on curving the response of this speaker off at 80hz so bass Bloom won't be a problem.
