The Truth about Modern Class D
Agreed...Buy and listen to what you like...I’m not worried about heat and less draw from the outlet, so even though I have heard some Class D amps that I liked ok, I would not invest in one...each to his or her own...

Indeed...the speaker and headphone match with the amplifier is a key factor in great sound for any system....Buy what you like and can afford. Hifi has something for everyone at most any price point....

Ask VPI...They are known for great communication and honest answers to questions, great company. 
Hard to sell my Klipsch Heritage Speakers for a possible Harbeth upgrade.
Keep one of the Klipsch and sell some other hifi and/or other crap you have gathering dust and buy the Harbeths ....different sound...many of us have several systems and several sets of headphones because we like to have several different sounding... 
Budget/value SS power amp recommendation
Rega power amps are low-cost, sound like music to me and often pair well with tube preamps. 
My experience after lost of 20k$
If you paid 20K for PC audio, that's a prime example of buyer beware...
