Klipsch!. The worst speaker company, EVER?
Great conversation... I was selling most of the above gear back in the 70's and 80's... Brings back memories... Many diverse opinions as always in this hobby.Sold enough Klipsch to be able to drink too much whiskey with Paul Klipsch himself and re...
Adding a Sub do i go with 1 or 2 ?
I am old school and like to drive and active sub by way of speaker level outputs and though REL and others can rationalize 2 subs for 2 channels I have never found it necessary cost effective or practical in my installations... Start with one. Enj...
Toslink VS coax VS other forms of Digital transfer
I am LOVING the ARC Ref Cd9, probably not using it to its full potential when it come to the DAC.  I play mostly CD's and I just ordered a Quantum Blue fuse for it since that is one of the last pieces in my system not to have one installed.... Cra...
Full range tower speakers with bass under $10k
For my far less than $10K... I purchased some Sonus Faber Olymica ll"s here on AG and added an ancient M&K 125 powered sub crossed over at 35hz driven by speaker level inputs off my ARC power amp. This gives an extremely coherent sound stage a...
Bluesound Vault 2i, Cocktail Audio X40 or ??????????
I have to give a vote for the Vault 2...I use it for streaming and ripping CD's and find it to be remarkably good sounding... My only frustrations are that it has no XLR outputs and it does take approx 5 mins to rip a CD which seems like long time...
Cardas vs. Cardas
Should have proofed that... It should have said " I brought it home on approval from a local dealer and ended up buying it"
Cardas vs. Cardas
i have experimented with a number of cables, a rather subjective and neurotic pursuit in my audio addiction/hobby. Currently I have  and appreciate several Cardas cables... My experience is that the Clear Light is quite good in comparison to many ...

rsure,  Thought Id lend a voice for the SF Olympica III's I currently own the OlyII's and love them.  I have driven them with lots of differing gear, old and new... The PL gear is wonderful stuff... My Oly II's sound great with my ARC DS-135 130 w...
How Is MQA Fareing?
Love MQA through my ARC system and Blusound Vault 2... When I can find music that I want to listen to...I Don't like the concept of "renting" music though and find the Tidal music channel appears to be pushing lots of its own musical genre that I ...
Speaker recommendation for married couple
Certainly listen/look again to the Sonus Fabers... The Olympica 1 may be found used in the $ 3k price range... I have Oly II's and my wife likes the cosmetic appearance for our space better than any box style speaker... the Sonus Faber Olympica se...

Mofojo... Tube pre and SS power is my current favorite combo too...BTW just noted the equipment posting in the above thread.I also noted some B&W 802 D's in gloss black for $8495 here on AG, way less than retail! Give them a local listen if yo...
Best full range loudspeaker for the used price of 10 to 13,000 dollars
I know everyone has their favorites... My many years of experience in the audio addiction biz (now currently in partial remission) tells me that this is a very multi-factored question... Unknown room size and acoustic properties, unknown musical l...

Remote volume control = unacceptable compromise?
Can any of you give me some ideas of a parts supplier to acquire any of the above VC's  ?? ... I have a MuFi A5 integrated amp in my 2nd system that needs a new VC, it's getting noisy. An Alps motorized version (unknown model, I'll have to research...
Agoners: Need Advice! Have 3K to spend on an Amp, what do I do with no way to audition?
I used to sell B&W 802's and they tend to be a bit power/current hungry (4ohms?) so it is possible that the midrange harsh qualities are a bit of artifacts from your other gear...  or your room acoustics... or aging drivers... I had found them...
