Best vinyl purchases based on pressing, studio production, sound quality and enjoyment.
Picked up a NM copy of the David Gilmour S/T solo LP. Sound is extremely good. I believe it has Sterling stamp in dead wax, but I have to double check. Always loved this record, and very happy to have this great sounding vinyl, to go along with my...
2.0 Mv Hana Shibata H enough output for Croft Phono Integrated?
I've been playing with speaker positioning, and this system is starting to sound quite good with the Charisma Denon 103. I just purchased a trio of Amperex Holland 12AX7'a for the Croft today, and I'm going to start there. They should be a nice im...

Love GD: Wake... I have a nice copy, on early press. Always thought it was a good listen, but I may grab the Rocktober. I bought the T-Rex LP on Rocktober due to overwhelming great feedback, but have yet to crack it open.
2.0 Mv Hana Shibata H enough output for Croft Phono Integrated?
10 grams is effective mass of Amadeus arm. I will have to check out Vinyl Engine to see if the 5 gram (Hana) will be a nice match. donvito- agreed....don't understand why they wouldn't list compliance spec. I'm planning on making a purchase in a w...
Help: Devore O/96 Integrated Amp + DAC suggestion
Wow- There you have it. That was quite a mini journey Arturgorniak. Funny, that Haut Brion  really lit up the O's to my ears. A nice bonus is you didn't even have to go class A with the new Lux. Having owned the O's for a few years, this thread ma...

Yogi- Your advice has always been spot on... I'm starting to think the same, in that the lower 2.0 MV may be the happy middle ground here. People do seem to like their Hana's. Never easy, with a new Hana cartridge around the corner.... but I like ...

Anyone hear a Croft Integrated Amp?
I just want to simplify this system, and not have to buy an SUT. Not only that, but this will be first foray in to MM’s, after 30 years in analog. It’s just something I need to do....I’ve heard the Dynavector 75/ III and I totally agree...very imp...

Are you using a Step Device in to your Micro 25 with the Low Output Hana? Nice setup.... My second system: WT Amadeus/ Charisma Denon 103 cart in to A23 Homage> Croft Phono Integrated amp> Harbeth P3’s.Note: I now borrow the Homage Step Up f...
Best Cartridge for $1000-$1350?
Hmmm- Didn't see the VM720 on the AT site. Sure wish they had threaded holes, but it is what it is..... With Koetsu, you have to go to URUSHI to get threaded holes. Very Strange! Also looking at Audio Note IQ 3. This darkhorse begins life as a Gol...
Best Cartridge for $1000-$1350?
Now that the OP is settled in with his new Hana cartridge, may I ask what you thought of the AT VM760. I’ve had my eye on that one. I think the 2M Black may be too much of a truth teller for me. I like to be lied to.... (-:
