Perfect Path Technologies: Omega E mat
Hi,WD40 works well for rusted or gunk seized treads, but my real concern is if the units screw threads where intentionally thread locked or threads possible flatted to tamper proof the unit and keep prying hands out.The force needed does seem like...

@oregonpapa How do you undo the hex screws from the Sound Application conditioner.Mine seems to be stuck and hardly turn, afraid they will get damaged or stripped? Thanks

The new Synergistic Research BLUE fuses ....
Thanks for all the insighful observations.  I reported previously that i expwriences a slight reduction in HF sparkle or brillance with the black fuses. Great to hear more trials. I may try 1 blue to see how it meshes up.  Synergy can be most impo...
The new Synergistic Research BLUE fuses ....
Do you find the overall presentation more laidback in all region,  normally this is associated with less vocal presence,  more open soundstage with more extension in highs and lows. Thanks for your much appreciated and  valued opinion on the diffe...

Streaming via the node 2 requires attention right from where your ISP enters the premises.I used a Node 2 and slowly paid attention to Fibre modem, router, switch, media converters. The Node 2 streaming tidal hifi through the dac section of a top t...
Can upgraded power cords help my setup?
I would say to check out cables of say $200 or so.Those who understand more about switch supplies have a ton more circuitry than a linear supply, it is possibly a big waste to use say a  very expensive cable. There's no right or wrong, there will b...
Can upgraded power cords help my setup?
You may find that just decent audio powercords which don't have to be costly will work well with a switching power supply.I found expensive or good cords don't seem to work to the advantage in the switching supplies and not as critical as when use...
Top resistors
I have also replace the  Duelund resistors with Path Audios.I have'nt done much comparisions, but have been contented with the Path's. It is just too tediousThe Duelunds have much more of a colouration and emphasis towards the upper frequencies wh...
Best standalone music server?
My vote for the NAD M50.2.True all in one with MQA included.
So, if you had my system to work with and were thinking about adding a DAC...
As important as tidal is for streaming, i use it almost all the time now and forget about bothering with buying cd's.My search of a full MQA capable streamer and dac has lead me to conclude that the sonics of the dac is way more conclusive in SQ.D...
Is the Maestro AC outlet basically a cryo'd Cooper BR20 found at Lowes for $3.47?
Thank for the update.I am glad my ears are not failing me and no other users had this impression on what i was hearing or impressions. Though system dependent, these characteristics do somehow manifest in any systems, especially given the experien...
Is the Maestro AC outlet basically a cryo'd Cooper BR20 found at Lowes for $3.47?
Allan,If you read the sonic traits i have listed, i would call all 3 outlets i use together, NCF, Black and SE all top contenders. They each sound different and i would call any worst or better, top notch sound from each but due to their different ...
