WISA Audio Pump for ET2 tonearm
If the OP's pump is like mine, the rubber pieces are o-rings.  It's just a matter of finding the right size.  I have a pretty good local o-rings source, so I will see what I can find.  This is what the bottom of mine looks like.http://usr.audioasy...
WISA Audio Pump for ET2 tonearm
Wow, this is pretty incredible. I had one of those break mid LP just three weeks ago! The racket of the pump housing vibrating against the mounting plate was something! After I determined the source of the racket, another one broke. I turned it up...
Best DIY power cable. Why not make?
You are just adding one more, unnecessary, connection point to the chain. Spades can come loose or break. I completely agree with you here.  It is one more connection and one more type of material for the signal/electricity to travel through.The...
Makeup brushes for Christmas
I use quality car detailing microfiber cloths for my gear (Autogeek has nice ones).  They actually trap the dust, while a brush simply kicks it up into the air only to fall back down on your gear.  The same can be said for compressed air.  This is...
I Would LOVE to see.
Jimi Hendrix and Jerry Garcia for sure!
Duelund DCA16GA
I thought the dielectric was responsible for the sound of this wire?  The tin coating is to prevent oxidation. No, it does not melt off and cannot be removed I'm not proposing to remove all of the tin coating, just the very end were it gets sold...
Duelund DCA16GA
Does the tin coating on this wire melt away during soldering when making ICs? For those of you who use bare ends for speaker cable, are you removing the tin coating with something like Scotch-Brite? It doesn’t seem like a very good idea for the s...
Rushton's DIY approach to ultrasonic record cleaning published by Positive Feedback
Hi Rushton,Sorry if I missed this part of the discussion, but how did you end up deciding on three revolutions (0.3 RPM for 10 minutes) for the cleaning cycle?  Ten minutes seems like a good amount of time based on various peoples' results, but I'...
New garage speaker placement?
Are you the dude from that thread on GJ?
Pono anyone?
Are you sure your Squeezebox does not do high rez? I play 24/96 files using a 24/96 capable DAC all the time.
Why are records still warped?
Moonglum,Your "dynamic changes in VTF" are what TTW and I referred to as suspension movement... I think! Maybe you're talking about something different, such as the platter slowing down as the stylus goes up the hill due to an increase in friction...
Why are records still warped?
TTW, it's not just the movement of the suspension system that causes a change in SRA when playing a warped record. Even if the suspension didn't move at all, SRA would change as a cart tracked a warped record since the record surface is not horizo...
Sudden, strange Accuphase FM tuner behavior
Thanks, Yogiboy. That's something I had not considered at all, but it's totally possible. Moving the antenna is next on my list of things to try. It's just a cheap little dipole taped to the wall behind my rack. I have recently been toying with th...
Sudden, strange Accuphase FM tuner behavior
The signal of the only other station I listen to, whose transmitter is close to the other one, is much higher and closer to normal. I emailed the radio station and they said that they have not changed their power. I'm stumped here.
Eminent Technology ET-2 Tonearm Owners
Slaw,Maybe I'm misunderstanding you, but why not do that with no LP on the platter? This way you are lining the spindle up with a precision machined surface (the platter). Vinyl is far from precise with all the warps and what-not. The stylus does ...
