Power cables and sharp dimensional imaging on a budget, Zu Audio and Furutech or Oyaide
Well, I have to agree on the placebo effect comment.  I just got a Zu power cable.  Really pretty with nice connectors.  I bought it because I got a very good deal on ebay.  I can't say there is any difference between it and the volex shielded mol...
Why don't amplifier Companies use high end fuses?
Directional fuses - brought to you by the same kind of people who sell you cheapo alarm clocks and pebbles in a jar as audio tweaks.  A scam plain and simple.
Music Hall MMF 5 Arm Change?
Check the arm pivot to spindle distance.  It needs to be 222 mm.  I think the older MH mmf-5 Pro-ject arm was longer than what they use these days.  It might be close to what is needed but you may still have to do some modifications to the armboar...
Tech That Flopped!
I don't quite follow your logic.  Are you suggesting Randy should not question your "liquid metal" because of quantum entanglement?  Maybe you are suggesting us mere mortals could never understand the physics behind your cables like you do?Help me...
DVD-Audio media, thoughts? worth the cost of the media?
Vinyl survived because the vast majority of digital transfers were poorly done, records had a clear edge in sound quality. I just prefer to listen to a lot of 60's-70's classical on vinyl, it makes even mediocre recordings listenable but the digit...
DVD-Audio media, thoughts? worth the cost of the media?
I have a few DVD-A discs and a few older universal players to play them. It is not worth the price you would pay for sure. A lot of releases were simply 24bit/48Khz.  Why not just invest in high resolution downloads instead?  You could actually cr...
Classical fans, I need advice
Vedric, you have received a lot of great suggestions so far.  However, you mentioned sound quality being extremely important so that would eliminate a lot of great albums unfortunately.  If you must start with the Beethoven violin cto, I can think...
McIntosh Speakers & Comb Filtering
Did they also make all other speakers obsolete?  I would guess not since they are being discontinued!
Tech That Flopped!
Success in terms of popularity often means mediocrity in terms of performance. I agree 100%. Best example I can think of is the MP3 format.  Further, just because a product design caters to a niche market, it does not make it a flop, this is so...
Current speaker threads are boring
When you start using punctuation marks I guess.
Current speaker threads are boring
No Op hasn't heard the Just dreaming of stuff unobtainable. Wise men speak because they have something to say; Fools because they have to say something.- Plato

That is no joke. The Double Impacts. Giant killers. Didn't take long, did it?

It's only a matter of time the Tekton goons come in here and claim they have struck gold or replaced some 30K speaker with the DI. Is that not an audiophile experience for you?
I guess I have to sell my Tekton Enzos
I think your full of yourself,You make midfi speakers and act like youve just built the wall and had Mexico pay for it..yep yep LOL!  Such disrespect for a legend (albeit in his own mind)  who obsoleted all other speakers!
