What are the top 3 dream speakers you wanna buy next regardless of price?
I like the three I currently have (Vandersteen 5A, Von Schweikert UniField 3 Mk2, new JBL L100 Classic).  I would listen to Vandersteen 7s.  Also Focal.
Is there any "audiophile grade" Reggae out there on CD?
I suggest War Ina Babylon, Max Romeo and The Upsetters.  Great sounding on both LP and CD.  And a bonus, the music is some of the very best I have ever heard.  Great songs, great messages.
Small drivers vs big drivers
bdp24, you and I see many things the same way, maybe because of our being drummers (well, I was, no longer, but my son is, I have the Gretsch 135 set here for him to use when he visits).  Real music, live music, has a weight to it that may speaker...
new L100?
Well I took the plunge and bought a pair for a third system, and no regrets.  Bass is full (of course) but biggest surprise to me is the quality of the mid and tweeter sounds, plus the ability to image.  Running them with a 40/50 watt tubed amp, a...
Your favorite male soul voices
I love all the above, and add Teddy Pendergrass, David Ruffin, Levi Stubbs.
When artistic and entertainment worlds collide.
I've seen/heard Mary twice in small venues, and am always on the lookout for another opportunity, she is fabulous.  Her last record was part of a movement to help war vets, and the songs were co-written by them well-worth a listen.
50th Woodstock Anniversay Concert ; Michael Lang
bdp, I was raised in Baltimore, saw the Cream concert way back when there, also saw Blind Faith, many others.  And on b'day number 12 for me my dad took me to The Beatles, in Baltimore.  A few years back (maybe more than a few?) I took my son to M...

bdp, I saw that video when it was new, made both my kids watch it, it brought tears to my eyes, still does.

I've been to two shows at the barn, took my son to one, we stood to the left of Levon and watched his drumming all evening (we're both drummers).  Larry was there, and it was clear how much he (Larry) admired and loved Levon.  As do I.  There is a...
Is unamplified music the gold standard?
Thank *** for Paul.
new L100?
What electronics are you using with the new L100s?  I am considering a pair for a system, so have an interest in knowing.  I listened to them yesterday, was pleasantly surprised by what I heard.
I Would LOVE to see.
Nice mentioning Nick Drake.  I, a few years back, bought a CD of his mother Molly Drake, unbelievably haunting and beautiful.  With the time to listen.
I Would LOVE to see.
Definitely John Lennon. Second is Buddy Holly.
Have you had enough of Classic Rock?
Schubert, were you always so "black and white", "yes and no", "right and wrong", things like that?  I ask since I wonder if you were always like you appear to be now (and I am not trying to incite, or be critical, or to judge, please understand th...
How did a bands' name originate?
Is it true The Beatles name was a take on The Crickets?
