| Amp upgrade from Ayre V-5xe I use only balanced operation from CD, and phono....and out to the Vandersteen high pass filters then to the amp. I then run the speakers bi-wire. I would ruminate on John Rutan's advice.....he is a whiz at this stuff. | |

| DO CABLES REALLY MATTER? In my experience, in a truly electrically balanced system, XLR interconnects make just a bit of difference....no big deal....however speaker cables make a very big difference. In my system power cables made the biggest difference. | |

| LP Cleaning Machine surprise biwynne.....too bad.....you could have just made a work space for it in your garage. Another way around is to get a small (15 dollar or so) steamer and steam your records clean....wipe them off with a microfiber cloth. | |
