Blade 2, Sopra 2 or 3 or Scala Evo?
Since you are in Europe, if you go KEF Blade 2, you should also look at Electrocompaniet Nemo amps.  KEF uses them to demo the Blade in their factory museum.  I am using them with my KEF Reference 5s and they are outstanding.

At least you can cancel your gym membership after all this :)
Still looking for speakers in the 10-20,000 range
Hey fast, the Reference 5s do require a bit of break-in to sound their best. I don't really remember but it took a bit of time, for sure.  Mine are 10' apart and I'm using the short ports with my speakers 18" from the back wall and 5' from the sid...
The ups and downs of tube vs. SS...
If you want something simple and family friendly, I would suggest the Parasound HINT for the main system.  It's a Swiss army knife of an integrated, sounds great (especially with the R300s) and it doesn't cost so much that you won't freak out if t...
Still looking for speakers in the 10-20,000 range
I have the KEF Reference 5s and love them. They do everything that you like about the 3s, but just more of it. They are also quite flexible with the type of amp you use with them. Do you want a front row seat in an intimate club? I ran them with a...
What is your listening chair?
I use an Inada DreamWave as my chair in my dedicated listening room.
Electrocompaniet Nemos
I ended up pulling the trigger on the Nemos and just set them up in my system.  They are an excellent match to the C1100 preamp and couldn't be happier.
Electrocompaniet Nemos
I'm looking for more speed, tighter bass, a wider sound stage and a bit more detail. I like the brilliant mids and the depth of the sound stage with the MC275, and don't want to lose that. My understanding is that the Nemos are not too analytic, a...
From KEF 103.2 to Harbeth 30.1 and back....Your advice sought.
In your price range and requirements, I would look at the Reference 3A MM de Capo BE.  It's a very musical speaker that is efficient with lots of punch.
McIntosh C1100 Preamp
Oops, I've been away and just saw this.  I am very pleased with the C1100.  I'm sure you are enjoying it, as well, if you decided to move forward with the purchase.  If not, let me know what you bought instead as I'd be curious to know what beat i...
2017 ‘Keeper’ speakers under - $25K
KEF Reference 5s got my vote and money.
What are the more subtle sounding tube preamps?
The McIntosh C1100 is amazingly subtle.  It is dead quiet and just presents the music as it was intended.
Any Allnic users out there? Hum problem.
I really enjoy the HA with the H.  As you said, the sound stage is really enormous and holographic.Oh, I thought of another thing:  When I plugged my network streamer in the system, the wireless router did cause some noise to come through the phon...
Any Allnic users out there? Hum problem.
I use an H3000 with an HA3000 and don't have any of the hum issues that you describe.  I use the setup with both a DV XX-2 MkII and Kiseki Purpleheart.  You may want to make sure that the tubes are seated properly as they can become dislodged duri...
More curious than a real question- remote trigger? Anyone use it?
I use the remote trigger on both my McIntosh and Audia Flight systems.  I like the convenience of turning everything on with a single push of a button.  After all, if I'm turning on the preamp, the amp is going to be turned on anyway.
