Medowlark Eagle verse Kestrel
I've owned the original Kestrel, the Kestrel 2 as well as the Shearwater Hot Rod. My favorite is the original Kestrel. It has a very natural sound, easy to listen to for long periods. Not sure it's going to sound as big as some of the other speake...
New format, dislike.....
Too soon to say for sure, but I just don't see what we've gained here.

Who tried Class D only to return to S/S or Tube
Excellent post as usual Guido.I'm another who has been in and out of class D for the past 7 or 8 years. My first foray was with the inexpensive PS Audio Trio A-100. This little amp blew me away with it's small size, no heat, and most of all relaxe...
Tried analog yet again after decades of digital

That was a nice read. The inclusion of the many pics really does give me a feel for the stands and the installation process. Thanks for the link.
Tried analog yet again after decades of digital

I am sick of Adele
She sounds great in the car but her album "21" sounds terrible on my system. It would be great if her music was produced without all of the compression used to make it sound good for crappy mp3 listeners.
Constant whining coming from ...
Pretty funny, thanks.
Favorite two CDs to listen to?
Just two is extremely difficult. Over the years though I'd say: "Will The Circle Be Unbroken II" by the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band is right up there. I can put this album on anytime and just sit and listen.Another all time favorite is "Temptation" by ...
Revel F208 vs. Paradigm 75F: Auditioning
I'd want to listen to the Paradigm Signature S2 as well in your price range. Yeah, it's a monitor, but if your room isn't too large, it could work. Also, $3k will go a long way in the used market.
Jeff Buckley
My first encounter with Jeff Buckley's music was while driving on I-70 north of Dayton, Ohio. "Hallelujah" came on the radio and I was transfixed by the song. After the DJ identified the song and singer I pulled off at the next exit and went looki...
Adcom - To modify or not?
Check out Musical Designs. I have a B&K amp that's just itching for their upgrade.
Artists that use the same song structure...
Mumford and Sons, wow, it's like the same song over and over.
