In Memoriam: Bobby Palkovich of Merlin Music
So saddened to hear this. I had nothing but fantastic experience with my VSM-MXe's, thanks to the loving care with which he designed and built them, and the ever present ongoing support. We had many conversations on the phone, as well as in person...
Trans-fi Terminator T3PRO opinions please...
I bought a Starrett 98-8 precision machinist's level for use with the Salvation and T3Pro. It seemed like ridiculous overkill at first, but once I used it, I found it worth every penny (~$130 on Amazon) in setting up the unsuspended Salvation for ...

Sorry, mine has been down since I did the mag bearing upgrade, due to a move over the past few months. I'm building a new listening room, but hope to have a temporary one set up in a week or two. Hopefully I can get a good dose of the upgraded Sal...

Glad you're liking it. I can't wait to get my system back up and running so I can hear the impact on mine too. It's hard to imagine it getting even better, but Vic was quite confident it would and I've learned to believe him.
Linear tracking tonearms.....
Spiritofmusic,Unfortunately I only had a very brief listen as I'm in the process of moving, so all my gear is packed up for a while. I definitely liked what I heard, maintaining the strengths of the Salvation (great bass, dynamic impact, black bac...
Linear tracking tonearms.....
I'll be the fifth on the Trans-Fi T3Pro and agree whole heartedly with Steve. I've had my Trans-Fi Salvation and T3Pro for quite some time and both are the real deal. The T3Pro is surprisingly simple and easy to work with, not finicky at all. The ...
Legacy Audio AERIS: RMAF/listening impressions?
This pair had all 4 woofer connections brought out to the back panel which was a great idea for trying other bass amps. Did you add any of the Clarity internal wire or upgraded caps?Tom
Legacy Audio AERIS: RMAF/listening impressions?
I just checked the pics I took that day and I'm pretty sure yours are the ones Bill demo'd for me. They were quite stunning looking and sounded fantastic, especially with the tuning demo he did on the spot. Enjoy!
Legacy Audio AERIS: RMAF/listening impressions?
Congrats on the Aeris's. I'm pretty sure I saw them when I visited Legacy a couple weeks ago. Beauties for sure. Have you left the Xilica settings stock or did you tune them for your room?
Legacy Audio AERIS: RMAF/listening impressions?
Yyzsantabarbara,Yes, the Aeris does in fact have a down firing passive radiator recessed very deeply from the bottom, as well as 2 small ports in the rear.
Preamps with balanced ins/outs and remote
The Zesto Leto is single ended internally but uses transformers in balanced mode in and out. I'm using it with Acoustic Imagery Atsahs (NC1200's) similar to the Veritas with good results. It has a small remote for mute, mono/stereo, and volume.
Audiophilleo vs Empirical audio offramp
If you haven't tried the AP2 with the PurePower battery supply, you might want to consider that option first. It made a nice improvement in clarity and fine detail with my AP1.
Has anyone actually bought a Zesto Phono preamp?
I've had the Andros phono since May and just added the Leto preamp at RMAF. Both are simply outstanding, even better as a pair. I've only used the Andros with a Zu Denon 103R so far, but can say it gets the absolute most out of that cart. I'm sign...
Trans Fi Salvation direct rim drive turntable
Sgunther,Yes, that's me. The guy in Atlanta thought long and hard about the Salvation, but decided a Rega P9 was a better fit for his situation. He should be very happy with it, as it's very much set, forget, enjoy the music.Tom

Spiritofmusic,Very nice review and I'm glad you're enjoying the Salvation/T3Pro. I've had mine here in the US since January with the Zu 103R and I am still thoroughly enjoying it. Vic has been great to work with. I changed my phono stage to a Zest...
