Highest BUILD quality tube amps?
+1 for deHavilland...
What unknown musical artist would you like to share with your fellow audiophiles?
Since Wolf_Garcia referenced The Little Willies, I would add Richard Julian to the list...
Capital Audio Fest 2018--show report
Any impressions of the Cube Audio room? I thought they sounded very dynamic and coherent, if not a tad bit forward. A similar presentation to the Charney single driver speakers.
Warmer sounding Solid State
Clayton Audio,  which run class A and leans toward the warmish "organic" side...
Discontinued equipment that you wish were still here. What do you miss or think will miss?
Roberjerman - Your 1001 is a special piece, indeed. Over the years I've heard that there is a tech named Tom who works (or perhaps used to work, don't know if he still does) at Brooks Berdan in California who is very familiar with the BEL amps (Br...

Fuselier speakers.  RIP John Fuselier who passed away in September.

+1 for the BEL 1001 power amps. I still take out my 33 year old Mark I from time to time, and it still sounds terrific. I could only imagine what a Richard Brown design would sound like today if he were still alive.
Any Mark Knopfler fans out there?
I am also a  huge MK fan, and, like Bremner1 above, spend a disproportional amount of my listening sessions engaged with his music. While his Dire Straits and solo work have been well documented here and are essential, his collaborative efforts wi...
Autoformers, The Benefits in matching amp to speaker
Roger - Would your "light loading" recommendation apply to all transformer based tube amplifiers, or just to your designs? I have read many comments stating that the higher output impedance taps allow for better performance assuming compatibility ...
Spay for CD
Aalenik - I see where L'ART DU SON is sold as a cleaner for vinyl records.  I see no mention of use for CDs.  Is there another product by this name which is specifically formulated for CD treatment, or are you using this vinyl cleaner "off label" ...
too bad Audiogon seems to have morphed to fussy, picky buyers
Is it your experience that this is the case on other sites such as US Audiomart and Audioasylum, or is it mostly an Audiogon phenomena?
Axpona 2018
Anyone else hear the Cube Audio speakers??  Impressions??
How old are your speakers
I've used my Voce Divina Tenores for 20 years, purchased new in early 1998.  Prior to that I used Fusilier 3.3s for 16 years...
Low-heat-output amp for Devore O/96
I would consider the Linear Tube Audio Zotl10MkII which were paired with the Devore O93 speakers at RMAF.  I don't believe the four EL84s would produce excessive heat...
Review: Linear Tube Audio (LTA) "Ultralinear" Amplifier
Dodgealum - It would be interesting to hear what your impressions are should you get a chance to audition the MZ2 with the Ultralinear.  I have a MZ2 which I bought, and love, as a headphone amp. When used as a preamp, however, I still prefer my D...
