Hi guys, I have an Arcam AVR300 that has worked flawlessly for years, but tonight it stopped working unless I put it in Audio Direct mode... Any ideas?
I dropped it off at Technetron in NYC yesterday. Arcam has graciously offered to cover the price of the parts. I'll post again once the repair is complete.
I have no idea how much the board costs. If it costs a lot to repair keep in mind Arcam is releasing a new reciever ( AVR400 ) this December. http://www.avforums.com/forums/arcam-products/1329884-arcam-announces-new-avr400-cedia-2010-a.html
It may be your digital processing board. In direct mode all processing is bypassed. The DVDA mode is automatically direct and you may be able to use multichannel analog outputs from a Bluy-Ray or DVD player for surround sound. Otherwise here is a list of authorized US Arcam repair centers. http://www.americanaudiovideo.com/support.html
