That makes multiple times that Mark has made an almost identical post containing apology, then excuses, then poor pitiful me followed up by veiled threats of lawyers and legal action ending up with a second set of apologies. This behavior is obviously acceptable to the Moderators and administration of this forum. I wish the best for all of you guys that are on the hook to this character just like the victims of the AV123 fiasco were in the past but I think your idea of being compensated with either money or product by a company buyer, if one actually exists, is a pipedream. Why would they be willing to open themselves up to legal action by becoming involved with Mark's prior behavior. He took your money and spent it on personal expenses not them. As his history shows he never knows when to quit when he is ahead.
Has anyone tried these stunning new CPT power cord?
My experience with these power cords is truly magical. The scary part of the above is I only have one 150 on my sub and one 300 from my wall to my 6 outlet bar. I still need 3 more to complete my system. I could just imagine the level after that...In closing, I cannot emphasize enough to try one of these in your system. I CANNOT and WIIL NOT take these out as they are that good. But hold your jaw, cuz what you've been listening to will just become real after Core Power Technologies.
Cheers....and let the tapping begin.......

So we’re gonna jump on d2girls, but give Mr. Shifty a pass on his histrionic post mixing excuses, apologies, and threats? That’s cookie cutter behavior of a you-know-what. I guess in his world view, burning peoples’ money is A-OK, totally not nefarious, as long as it’s used for running his car and household expenses? This just assures me that the sad cycle will repeat itself again in the future. Have some self-respect, guys. |

ok i will apologize. mark, sorry for making a aggresive post, i have no interest in harming you, just wanted you to know how i feel about people who scam. wasnt right to say what i did. sorry to all else ive offended. i have a big chip on my shoulder and ive been trying to get rid of it. i hope you all can forgive me. anyway ill just leave you all alone now, i guess. i defintely retract what i said and regret it, i will refrain from expressing my feelings towards others in this manner ever again. |
@d2girls You did make a threat. It was explicit and it was physical. It isn't your interpretation that counts, or your backtracking. What counts is Mark's interpretation. My colors are about standing up to a grossly inappropriate post. Had someone else done so, I would have said the same. If I made a similar error, I hope someone would call me on it, as I have you. Had I done so, I have the confidence and faith in myself that I would choose to apologize both publicly and privately and publicly retract those statements, without prejudice. Perhaps, in time, you will see this for what it is: someone looking out for you as well as others. |

@d2girls Based on your posts, Mark could file a complaint with his local law enforcement and they would be obligated to investigate. That's something you need to comprehend. I don't believe I have ever posted on this thread because I don't have any personal interest in it, but that post and the follow-up to it are inappropriate. Which is why I posted. (BTW, my previous post directed at you in the Kinki Audio thread was supportive of you). Again, threats have no place here. It would trigger a lifetime ban on most online sites. |
@corepowertech. Maybe I read your post incorrectly, but you crawfished on a deal with Dan Wright at the last minute? "We had an original deal with Dan Wright, but the fact is that when the second offer came in… it was just too good to pass up. We had owed some 8k in refunds and I had arranged for a Bridge Loan of 20K to pay refunds and expenses while we got moving with Production etc. That never happened because the loan was contingent on Closing the sale. THAT never took place as we received the 2nd offer at the “11th hour”... This offer was much better...." |

Dear Audiogon Community
I hope this note finds everyone well. This is most probably my last update here as we are set to Close this week on the sale of the business. Firstly, I again wish to apologize for the delay in the sale of the business and finishing out the refunds etc. I’m in process still with respect to this - and I wanted to offer some additional clarity and a POV that surely won’t be universally liked or accepted. My Grandson Paul has been helping us with sales of our products and well as others. He has done a really great job and we have been using these funds to pay expenses and refunds. ANY other suggestion of anything else is off-base and just wrong. We have been issuing refunds to those that decided money back was better than waiting for Deep Core. Of course we readily accept this. There has been all kinds of suggestions of nefarious behavior re these funds and what I can say is simply this… These funds kept our car running and our home in tact. Anything else is BS - flat out. In any event - we are here now and I wanted to update on transition issues etc. Once the new owners take over we will make a very detailed announcement about the company and their plans. Kemper Holt will be out front supported by a wonderful cast of experienced characters that will operate this business properly and grow it in incremental steps. These are good people that I trust and feel really good about. They are planning for Deep Core (v3) as well as the new 600 that’s been ready for 6 months + now. We couldn’t build it as we simply ran out of money. Once these folks take over they will fulfill the list of owed products as well as make refunds from proceeds. If I had the funds now - I would simply send checks. After losing our car briefly and (almost) our home I can safely say this —- refunds are First and Foremost. Our plan is to get everyone paid and then they will move forward. I feel it’s also important to share why this took so long. We had an original deal with Dan Wright, but the fact is that when the second offer came in… it was just too good to pass up. We had owed some 8k in refunds and I had arranged for a Bridge Loan of 20K to pay refunds and expenses while we got moving with Production etc. That never happened because the loan was contingent on Closing the sale. THAT never took place as we received the 2nd offer at the “11th hour”... This offer was much better and offered my wife and I a clear(er) path for our future. I’m out of the business now, but we surely do need for Core Power to keep on keeping on. Our future depends on this. I am sincerely sorry for the delays and the hurt this has all caused. I am 100% to blame here and nothing will please me more that taking care of our responsibilities. I’ve had a rough 4 months but my commitments and promises need to be kept. Our Legal Team made me promise not to post or make commitments as this has taken way longer than it should have. We had two of the three principles leave for various Summer duties and this slowed us even further. I had planned a much longer post, but I’m out of gas. I’ve felt so helpless as I’m unable to do more at time. I also learned that there were those bent of hurting me and Core Power at any cost. I know who these guys are - and I do plan to release names dates and information about several of the parties that have appeared here at AGon with posts that just aimed at inflaming, currying hurt and mis or dis information. Your time is up and now it will be time for a few of you to start answering questions. No one will be spared and many of these “Characters” will need to answer for their roles in this. Trust me when I tell you that this will be the very best money I have spent in a long time. I wish to thank the many of you that have been patient and trusting. No one will be left behind. I also wanted to send thanks to the many of you that have sent notes of encouragement. I won’t forget this. The new products that have been developed (Ground Zero, USBe Perfect, E=C 600 etc. will see the light of day. I hope you like them. Many thanks Mark PS - I am listing my contact data yet again... 303.594.7586 corepowertech@outlook.com |
Mark this is disgraceful that you took money from people and are selling new product through your Grandson without taking care of those you owe. Sad that you morals are so low to involve him in these lies also. Here is an orgional ad for a Superstroke cord. Your Grandson claims "I have 6 1.8m SuperStroke cables. Brand new, I have no need to keep these extra cables." Questions for the sellerJul-14-2018How long ago were these purchased? Thanks, Ray"I purchased them a couple of weeks ago to use along with a new system."https://www.audiogon.com/listings/lis92221-core-power-technologies-superstroke-ac-cables?show_listin... |
Wait a minute here. So Mark has everything except Deep Core in stock and he wouldn’t send to amg56, instead he’s selling them via his grandson? Is this a true statement? If so then amg56, we need to talk. I believe I publicly stated if anybody needs my help then let me know but so far, just a couple of people who connected directly with me. |
So rather than send product to customers like @amg56, who already paid for Equi-Cores, Schyfter took more monies and sent off product through his son-inlaw to other buyers?the unit the day before.amg56553 posts08-09-2018 4:25pm This reminds me like one of those old ponzi schemes... |
My 1800's were ready to ship back in March. "Lynn had personally overseen the build and pack" along with the SS I ordered. Ready to ship "Monday"! ...nothing. Still nothing today. A "same ol' same ol'" email came yesterday. Empty promises again. It is taking my legal team effort and my money to see a refund I paid, for 2 DCs, 2 E=C 1800s and 2 SS cables. I'll have paid more for my legals than the refund, or product in the first place. If I had the E=C and SS products, I could have waited for the DCs. But all I got was empty promises. Trust, Faith and Honesty was all I could hope for. Even these were not enough. @hifipassion I hope so. I really hope so. I want to put this sad saga behind me and chalk it up to experience. I wonder if I'll ever do business directly with an overseas party again. Who to trust even with due diligence. |
@acaman I debated which term to use (new old stock [NOS], new stock, current stock) as the company wasn’t exactly doing business as usual. Sorry for the confusion, though you figured it out. @hifipassion I’m glad that went smoothly. I had an opportunity to get a B-sock unit from Mark that he listed on the A’gon. Missed it before the ad expired. |
I just purchased a brand new Equi=Core 1800 from Paul (Mark's Grandson) and everything went well with the transaction. I sent PayPal payment on 8/1/18 and he shipped the same day and sent me a tracking number. He said that his Grandma (Mark's wife) had just finished building and boxing the unit the day before.. I received it on Monday and it was brand new and perfect as stated. It's in my system right now breaking in and sounds amazing. I was skeptical pulling the trigger on this purchase after reading all the recent posts regarding the issues people are having with Mark and CPT. I was also concerned about buying a product from a company that is currently in limbo and may or may not be in business to support the product should I ever have a problem with it. Before I sent payment I called Paul and we discussed my concerns which helped me relax a little bit but I was still very nervous when I hit that send payment button on the PayPal site. The price was really good and he included a free Super Stroke power cord which I think was normally a $99 upgrade with the purchase of an 1800. I feel for all the people who prepaid for Deep Core units and never received the product or a refund. Hopefully the sale of CPT will go through and the new owners will honor these previous commitments to everyone's satisfaction. |
Call me a fool (and, many have), but I think there has never been an attempt to steal from those who bought CPT products. CPT had a great reputation with the Equi-Core. At worst, it was poor management/over-optimistic hopes. Poor health certainly didn't make things easier. Sometimes things get out of hand and all hell breaks loose. The Deep Core is probably that thing. In any case, I am hopeful that the new owners will honor past agreements. Bob |
@amg56 Much to my surprise, Mark posted about an hour after my query about CPT being potentially banned from the forum. Read up a bit a few posts on this page. He posted sometime on August 4th. He previously had Kemper post responses on his behalf. I know nothing about CPTstatus progress. I have no skin (lost funds) in the game due to the Deep Core debacle. So I’m not one to get any news. I hope you get your $$ back. I’m a supporter of you and others in a similar situation. |

Well, most, if not all, of the customers who prepaid for the CPT Deep Core product were customers who had previously purchased other CPT products and were happy CPT customers. CPT earned their customer loyalty over the years based upon those successful products. And the “gone awry” event appears directed to only the failed delivery of their Deep Core products. |
I sent an email to cptstatus@outlook.com along with a screenshot of my June 8,2017 payment thru PayPal. I must have missed it somewhere that this was the email to use and not corepowertech@outlook.com that Mark always references. If some have already received refunds like Mark has suggested I don’t know how they were notified because you would think if they were a follower on Audiogon they would have replied by now with the news they’ve been refunded. I’m still hoping for the best... |
