Cheater plugs do solve the problem but I had read where an isolation transformer might solve it as well and there would be no possibility of a nasty shock using that method.Do not use a cheater plug between the wall outlet and the cord and plug of the Tripp-lite power unit.... That could turn out to be hazardous to your health. By doing so not only the case of the Tripp-lite power unit would be floating but worse yet the AC output would be floating. Neutral Too! Could be, Very dangerous!

If you use the ground cheaters on the cord and plugs of the equipment plugged into the Tripp-lite power unit I see no safety benefit whats so ever. Not any different than plugging the equipment directly into the wall outlet using the cheaters. Same possible risk exists.
