Please Read and express your feelings and opinions....

I noticed  that lately or maybe for the last five yrs, there is so much arguments, name calling, attacking cables , speakers , components makers and more, more of disagreement with members, even Audio dealers are being attack here...Very few know how to apologize when they are wrong. What can we do as Audiogon members to improve our communication to each other? How to give the informations, recommendation to members who need it? This is without involving Audiogon, any opinion or ideas ,  For me this is fun and place to learn in audio...thank you all

I tried to be civil and not rude, however I don't think it is rude to request scientific information for products with these crazy claims. I have built somethings and feel I have a bit of a grasp of the technical side, so some of the claims just make no sense whatsoever.   It is OK to be challenging, that promotes learning. The challenge lies in how to be challenging without being rude.
And for the record I have tried aftermarket fuses and used to believe and magical wires and so on… Until I learned more about how things worked and learned that many of their claims were literally an impossibility.    Everything in the world must conform to the laws of science so I think it's perfectly reasonable to ask for scientific explanation for some of these items and claims.
Many of these believers would benefit from some reading into expectation bias.  When you think you are hearing a difference many times you simply can't trust yourself. I myself would want to know the truth and not want to bury my head in the sand  while spending thousands and thousands of dollars on items that do literally nothing.
The long and short of it is I think many just cry foul when their sacred beliefs are challenged in anyway.   Granted I do see rude behaviour on the forums but it comes from both sides of the fence.
@mrdecibel I think kosst explained it perfectly. Whatever we write is now up in the forum for all to read, many looking to learn. Then these newbies end up taking this stuff as Gospel. That's why kosst and I feel the need to shine the light of reality on some of these discussions.
Plus i hate the idea of companies essentially  ripping people off, selling them stuff at a 2000% markup saying it does xyz when it does nothing.
It always boggles my mind that we have these fuse threads that run 50 pages of nonsense but if you start a room treatment thread, stuff that works, makes a difference that you can measure, you will be lucky to get one page.
@geoffkait  I know, it's crazy!  You ask someone for scientific proof and they start crying that you are rude!  Glad you understand.
