Sell your components boys and girls, the console is back!

I like the company and the products because they are re-introducing audio in at least some way to successful Millennials/Hipsters who want more than a portable device and less than a wall of audio.  It's all overpriced by our standards, but those with the money want this look in their dwellings, and they want turntables.

Glenn dick, In all of my comments on this thread I have never judged the dollar value of the cabinets discussed in the video or at the stereo store where I observed many console cabinets. You have constantly used $ as judgment tool, I get that from my wife, which is why I go solo to Axpona.

I see, finally, a very high quality piece of furniture made from solid wood which matches the high quality of my audio products. I also see a stand that would interest millennials and might continue the audio hobby for the next generation.

If you don't value the quality, fine. I do

Ps. My favourite part of the Sterophile Cribs: Michael Fremer episode was where he went around to every single piece of gear in the room and declared if he owned it or not, or if the bank did.
Michael Fremer: How much is this cabinent?
Dealer: $24,000 including delivery and setup by 99 Virgins. Optional tonearm, $9,400, by the way the tonearm cures aids and cancer.
Fremer: Oh? Only $33,400 all in? Very reasonable. By the way, can the tonearm cure my neurosis?
Dealer: Sorry Fremer, I can only perform miracles in my power. I don't think anyone can cure that.
Fremer: Okay! Buy my DVD!

Jab, there are jigs for these things its not new tech by any means. and you can not in any way justify $15000 for that wood work, its not that hard to do, any competent craftsman can do it.
@jab
Not sure where you get "calling you out from"?
Just my 2 cents that I really do LIKE being on my own listening to my music with nobody bothering me at all.

That’s my therapy and precious downtime.

I tried the real world once, it was awful......

If the wife wants to entertain others with music she can use the HT rig.

Still am real curious as to what "sausage friends" are though......

A total scam? wow glenn dick .

I see a very high quality component cabinet, built with extremely high standards that most cabinet shops can not contend with. Most cabinet shops will not have the tooling to build a solid wood cabinet, so they use plywood or veneers due to high investment costs for machines.

When the interviewer would shut his mouth and let the designer talk, his explanation of the advantages of a solid wood design and how they contended with the constraints of a solid wood cabinet, I found to be very enlightening.

As for the cost to value on the record bins. Most people due not know what a dovetail joint is, or have an appreciation for quality wood. If you do not, then purchase Chinese mass produced products. If you can not afford a heirloom quality built cabinet, well I would not share it.

@jab

I LIKE sitting in my room by myself listening to music.
No sausage friends( WTH are they?)
Nobody disturbing me, play what I like.

Suits me down to the ground.

That Symbol console is a total scam imo. I was looking at it a few days ago. there is about $3-4 retail worth of audio gear in it but they are charging $20000 for the thing. A custom cabinet builder friend of mine said its highway robbery to charge what they are for the wood work.... hell look at what they charge for their record storage systems outrageous.

they are simply a boutique manufacturer looking for the 1% crowd to buy a trending thing nothing more imo.

It will sound great once they add a $500 receptacle, $2000 power cord and slap one of those magic mats on it.

I was in a very large local store and saw 10 console cabinets in their show area and thought a new trend, or a returning trend is here. Yes I understand sound compromises will be made but this might move many men out of their man caves and into the real world. Gee what millennial wants to sit in a room by themselves or with a couple of sausage friends.

I am just amazed how little people know when assessing what is a well made piece of furniture. I hope this small company will show next year at Axpona and start to educate new younger audiophiles on quality sound with beautiful furniture, the old farts are a lost cause.

I would order custom in African Blackwood or at least Arkansas Black Walnut burl with Nottingham turntable if I had to get that thing. It looks terrible and seems to sound even worse.
I don't think its funny at all love the mid-century modern look very much!
Hello. I'm the director of corporate speak and funny walks. Won't you step into my silo?
