If other than in my audio system, I just bought a kitchen faucet aerator with built in LEDs that changes color to reflect the water temperature. Pretty...... My wife does not like it though because the water pressure results in a splashed and messy sink. |
My PBN Montana XP speakers are pretty nice but I think my Raysonic CD-128 is the nicest-looking component I have - especially at night. |
My favorite component is a turntable Peter at PBN audio made for me recently.

I do like the solid wood (not veneer) bases on Emotive Audio gear. My Epifania linestage also has the tiger maple wood base and it is quite nice looking. |
My Emotive Audio Vita amplifiers with tiger maple bases. Picture is on my system page. |
The Parasound Halo A21. Most of my stuff is black and the result of too much logic, left brained thinking and not enough passion! Not so the A21, and although I'm sure there are prettier girls at the ball, Parasound really did a nice job with the big Halo models. |
though it doesn't work, and i refuse to sell it or get rid of it simply on its merit of looks: pioneer elite pd-65. |
What's wrong with Lady Gaga cuing up? Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder I suppose. Me? I sometimes like a little edginess and that girl fits the bill, so there! |
I have a very simple three component system: Zu Def 4s and Ancient Audio CDP and SET. All three are beautiful. Their physical appearance was a consideration when I selected each of them. Given the current number of high quality audio products, there is no reason to exclude looks when making a purchase. Everything must be designed; no component looks the way it does by chance. Why not include aesthetics into the design of a product? |
Nakamichi 700, Technics 1500, Sony XDR-F1HD Tuner, Nakamichi RX505 and Marantz SA 8001 |
|
I'm a sucker for vintage so I'll say my Technics R2R and my McIntosh 78 tuner. |
My wife first... then my old VAC 30/30 a distant second. |
Watching the stylus on my Grado ride the groove of a record reminds me of a beautiful redhead maneuvering a pair of stiletto heels in the rain...
...stretching it a bit?... |
For me...SVS PB13 Ultra subwoofer in piano black. Very elegant. |
I don't own it, but the Metronome CD Transport is the best looking component I have ever seen!! |
The Studer A820 Reel-to-Reel Recorder.
|
I'd say it's a toss up between my Vienna Acoustics speakers and my JL Audio fathom f112 sub. |
Speakers: Sonus Faber Guarneri Homage (original ones in Walnut).
Amp: My Art Audio Symphony II. At night with 300b mesh plates and the 2 small blue crystals reflecting on the stainless steel (looks like chrome) chassis. |
My custom two inch thick, 200lb. Pommelle Sapele-finshed custom built enclosures, housing updated Tannoy HDP 315's, with custom-designed/built crossovers.

my chaliceaudio.com 'grail' SET amps... |

. Infinty Kappa 9 speakers in honey oak
Infinity Renaissance 90 speakers in blonde oak . |
My Audio Research, Bel Canto and Dynaudio stuff is very nice looking for audio gear. Even the Carver stuff though build quality is technically lesser. But I would not go so far as to call any audio gear beautiful, with the one exception I noted in my post above.
I had a Norwegian beauty, a Tandberg tr2080 receiver for years. Maybe..... Tandberg gear is visually one of my favorites in general and also great performers, but most of it is getting up in years these days. |
Audio Resea...just kidding. |
None of my components are particularly attractive visually, all pretty plain looking stuff. |
|
Scott 350 tuner. Love the gold face, large tuning dial, lights, meter and warm tube glow. |
|
Thanks Podeschi.
My ears may be aging but luckily I think my eyes still work pretty well! |
|
Squeezebox Touch with Katie Perry or Sophie Millman artwork displaying.
Things head south when Lady Gaga cues up. |

Just came across this thread again. Since my last report many components have been added ( and some left).
The Original La Luce by SpJ is still the most beautiful among my newer addditions: Clearaudio Master Ref on Clearaudio Everest Stand- beautiful Metronome Kalista Transport- sexy Zanden Signature Transport 2000 - Elegant Zanden monoblock amps 9600 - beautiful I was really sorry to let my MBL 6010D preamp and Jadis orchestra go as they were both also really beautiful!! |
toss-up between Clearaudio Innovation Wood turntable and VAC 300.1a amp (with the tubes running and lights off) |
|
Basis Ovation w/ Vector 4 Tonearm. |
Without a doubt my 2 MC2000's. Cant beat tubes glowin and those big blue meters in the dark! |
My Dali Euphonia ms4's. Even the wife remarks at least once a week about how gorgeous they are. |
Almost all of my components happen to be totally utilitarian, with little concession to aesthetics. The Naim 555CDP looks okay, if you like all black, with no decoration. My linestage, Emotive Audio Epifania, is also purely form-follows-function, but the wood base is made of very nice tiger maple slabs (not veneer). |
. My Michell and Oracle turntables. They are beautiful functional artwork. . |
Jadis J-1 cd transport . Nakamichi Tx-1000 My ex Jadis se300b or ja-30. |
Supratek Cortese. No question. |
|
No need to put sound aside; Ayre MX-R Mono Amplifiers. |
Metralla
You are killing me |
Pictures please, bongo. ;-)
Regards, |

hmmmm....I would say my Usher BE-10 speakers or my Esoteric P-03/D-05 transport/dac combo...both have amazing build quality and a very nice look to them (to me anyway). |
|
Tidal Contriva speakers; sculptures that happen to do music as well (mine are in black)

Would X2's fit In a Ferrari? and why would one want to? lol |
For the price of Wilson Alex's, can't you just get a red Ferrari??? ;>) |
