Who is Most Beautiful female singer ever

I say Jewel and Debbie Harry.

Leanne Rymes isn't a little girl anymore anybody see the Elvis tribute show few months ago her duet with Chris Isaac was very sexy.
What a pathetic damn thread. As if we don't all have eyes. I've always suspected that the fantasy angle is what was behind a lot of audiophiles' seeming obsession with female vocal music, and this stupid display tends to confirm it. But then again, I learned long ago to be wary of audiophiles' motivations and taste when it comes to actual music. BTW, have you ever seen what a group of typical male audiophiles looks like?! (...And we wonder why there are so few women among us.)

Now you'll please excuse me so I can go pull out my Pretenders and B-52's LP's...
;^)
Let's broaden the category a little- The SEXIEST Female Singer alive today is SADE. She has several DVDs out and her stage presence and performances are Stunning. SADE possesses a womanly sensuality which leave the young little cuties- Shania, Brittany etc.- in the dust!! In a world dominated by sub 25 year old, scantilly clad hotties-a truly sexy WOMAN is a welcome alternative- particularly for those of us old enough to be Brittany's father(Bob Dole excepted!).
Susanah Hoffs from The Bangles! How can anyone forget those eyes in the "Manic Monday" video.
WENDY O. WILLIAMS of the the legendary group PLASMATICS !!
Too bad she killed herself.
Lot's of beautiful women singer's listed here but if I had to choose 1 I would go with Diana Krall.
I'll throw some other names in the ring. Christina Amphlett-performed I touch myself Samantha Fox-the Brit nymphet singer not the US porn star
All the above mentioned are babes. It makes this hobby so much more enjoyable having to look at these women sing and wonder? Of course all look different in the morning.
Karen Carpenter question: Sorry to borrow this thread for a second -- Mfb33, Garfish, Do you have a suggestion for a good Karen Carpenter recording? I'd love to have one. Her voice was magic. But there was so much vapid material. What should I try? Maybe it doesn't matter; the point would just be to hear that voice once in a while.
I guess that overall, the Coors take the cake. Go to a website or something... all 3 are drop dead gorgeous. I did forget about Edie, but overall, Corrs.
Mfb33; nice to see Karen Carpenter remembered. I loved her song "Crescent Noon".
In the same vein as the last 2 posts, Halle Berry played Dorothy Dandridge in a made for tv movie. Someone else did the singing. Does that count?
Wsmatau: Like I said, I try to separate singing talent from beauty, but I'll play along. Does Katharine Zeta Jones sing?
Rayhall, Like I said...Heidi Klum probably sings in the shower...so she wins. Otherwise I still vote for Natalie Merchant, but Edie Brickell comes in a distant second. By the way you didn't sight your humble opinion....I'm interested.
Tubegroover: If Pele could continue to have his woman "perform" on film for every man in Brazil, he would be a much bigger man than anyone I know. As his wife, she would have reflected poorly on him, particularly as he is a retired sports figure. As one who probably gains his living by his reputation and the perception of other people, I doubt he could have afforded such a marriage or relationship. Back to the topic: As much as I like to look at beautiful women, when it comes to singing, who cares what they look like? In this video age, we are inundated with beautiful women (and men) who cannot sing. They may be able to dance, possess a great body, have a beautiful smile etc. but singing has fallen by the wayside. I would say that 70-80% of the artists today could not get a record contract 30-50 years ago. Besides, hair and makeup artists have turned their jobs into such high art that if you are attracted to the physical appeal of the artist, you are often being completely tricked. I try to stick to vocal ability when evaluating singers while leaving female appreciation as something which can be pursued, if necessary, in the dark corner at tne newstand.
Rickie lee jones- Oh my. Although the Faith Hill video makes me drool. She can breath on me any time!
Kurtisjeffers: I haven't seen Bartoli in person, but you have to admit on the album cover's. Maybe it's just me, I always give Italian women an extra ten points (on a scale of 1 to 10). I wonder if that Star Trek Counselor chick sings....

It is indeed amazing what photographers can do to improve a person's image. I remember when I was a concert security guard (yes I was one of the guys lining the stage!), I would sometimes do a double take when I saw a 'star'. Billy Idol is about 5'2, scrawny w/inch thick glasses, and really drugged out/sickly looking. David Bowie is a shrimp & looks 20 years older in person. Lousy, uncaring musician too. Bon Jovi is a really nice guy, plays a great live show, and talked to everyone. The rock group 'Cinderella' is actually a bunch of studious looking guys with short hair who were extremely serious, and detail oriented about their set / sound setup. I thought they were a bunch setup engineers until they came out dressed up for the show.

Will, I remember wondering if I could get past that huge roadie in between me and the stage!
Charlie I'll never forget seeing Fleetwood Mac the 1st time in the mid 70's @ an outdoor concert in Tampa FL. Stevie was in one of her tradmark black (I also saw her once in white) Chiffon outfits. There was a breeze blowing across stage and her hair was flowing with the dress as she sung "Gold Dust Woman". I was close to the stage. My knees buckled watching and listening. She was captivating.
I first fell in love with Linda Ronstadt, then Stevie Nicks, then the background singing sister from Heart. (Also, Grace Slick's voice used to make me weak in the knees.) Now, I am so much more mature and above all that kind of nonsense. After their Saturday Night Live gig, I have settled for any or all three of the Coors sisters. [:)]
Well I should have at least gotten the spelling right since I have one of her albums! Got it for my 3 year old nephew (yeah, sure) who turned flush everytime he heard her sing. Great bubble gum pop. Yes Wsmatau I know about her. She was quite the rage when I first visited Brazil in the late 80's. From all accounts she is also quite a good businesswoman. If it weren't for Pele's support (he's a god in Brazil on the order of MJ here), she very well may have remained in the porn industry. She was absolutely great with the kids and it was unlike anything I have ever seen here. A show with cross appeal to children and adults (men) as noted above. Even the women liked her.
Shuxia, now there's a STUNNING woman. Those kids have no idea how lucky they are. I saw a feature on her once in the newspaper. Had to tune in just to see her. Wow!
Tubegroover, I think you should know Sushia (shuxia?) was a porn star befor she played on the children's television shows in Brasil.
Saw Sheena Easton in concert once, stunning. She was singing some jazz standards and did a fine job as well.
If we MUST get into purely musical beauty, I'd have to also nominate Shirley Horn-- a spectacular voice. Never have seen a good picture of her though-- sometimes wonder why-- not important though.
What do you like better sugar or spice? How can there be one? There are too many. I certainly agree with many of the above but what about Josephine Baker for pure passion. What a looker. Another little cutie from Brazil, if anyone remembers is Susha. She sang to the kiddies and was really a big deal in Brazil and made an impact at least in Florida. I'm sure another big part of her success was daddy was watching her approvingly in her tight cut shorts and revealing top. She was married to Pele at one time. What a babe. I could look at her 24 hours a day. This thread is about babes that sing as much as talent, right?
Lena Horne certainly is one of the most beautiful female singers of the past century. She has also retained her beauty even at her present senior age.
Being from Texas, a young Nanci Griffith and Tish Hinajosa. Both are so talented along with being very cute. Rebecca Pidgeon looks a little like what Charlotte Church's older sister would be. Never the less .... Grandmother on Raven ... hot!
Most beautiful voice....Natalie Merchant, Overall most beautiful...I'm sure Heidi Klum can sing a ditty or two...lol.
toss-up between Patti Smith and the early days of Donny Osmond. This is a tough and most provocative thread. thanks.
Olivia Newton John, yes thats a good one. I forgot to mention her. Also, Sheena Easton
There are many "new country" female artists that are very hot. Faith Hill in the "breathe" video, new hairstyle looks like scarecrow though, Shania Twain very solid, many more. Jenifer Lopez is "latino heat"
Oh Oh Oh !!! I have one that was discovered last year. Sandy Denny from Fairport Convention, and Solo. The most angelic voice that I have ever heard.
......I fell in love with Cowboy Junkies Margo Timmins long before I saw a good picture of her. Cheers. Craig.
