Anyone successful in dealing with Tinnitus?

I have been experiencing ringing in my ears and think I may have it. Any recommendations?

I once lived in my apartment in almost complete silence for like a month. I no longer suffer from tinnitus. For me removing noisy stimuli can make it go away over time.

If I listen to music that is too loud then I will often get some ringing back for a little while.

I have had tinnitus as long as I can remember and have never seen a doctor about it. I actually find the ringing comforting sometimes. Like I can go inside of it and simply listen to the tones. As long as you have a quiet mind tinnitus can do no harm.

Mine is of course low level. Ear plugs - soft foam ones - help tinnitus for me because it helps lower the noises around me.

One thing of concern - I have always had a bit of high frequency ringing but one time I pulled a IEM out my ear to fast and now the low bass - Wuh WUH WUH sound will come with my higher frequency ringing. I think that is caused from some sort of rapid pressure changes.

Thanks,
My doctor was straight forward in telling me that there is no cure for that yet. I have it. Most of the time you don't notice it. You learn to live with it.
