Interconnect with great dynamics and bass slam ,

I recently purchased some Cardas Golden cross sepaker cables. They replaced my Dh Lab Q10s. I replaced the Q10s because i was getting some upper mid freq brightness.
I have Golden Cross interconnects from preamp to amp and from cd player to pre amp. The sound is very smooth and detailed .The bass and mid bass is not as authorative or as tight. The highs are better - more detailed and smooth.
The problem is the sound is almost too smooth the bass is kind of rounded off now .The sound is less dynamic.
My Question is.
Is there an interconnect that could give me back that great bass and dynamics of that i had with the Q10s, without the harshness i was getting. I think i would like to keep the Golden Cross speaker cables and try changing the ICs. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

@ waxwaves, You are talking my kind of environment!the spring fed pond and all the frogs and fish!,I have been swimming in that kind of setting all my life!, sounds like a awsome time with the beverages and all, I mean beers!, The Decade a/c cable is 12 gauge 15 amp! and should work on any thing you have!, Its not like you have 500 watts class A high current a channel and catching your receptical on fire!, LOL!,, I know your amp is high current!, the a/c cord should be fine on it!, your amp does not require a 20 amp breaker or a/c power cord that is 20 amps!,most likly, it may still sound better on the digital? we will see want we?, cheers!

Thank You Audiolabyrinth!!! That's what I needed to know man! I wasn't going to put the Tara Decade power cable on the amp if construction was 14 gauge. I've had it in the system since Sat morning (on the dac-1)and I can tell the Tara Decade is a really good power cable. I just switched it over to the modded MCCormack DNA-1 Dlx. I will give my full impressions soon.

Yes buddy, I wish today would have been a little bit warmer and sunny here on the mountain. May have been able to enjoy that big pond, instead we stayed inside with the music playing.

@ waxwaves, mmmm, seems like you did not get your Decade power cord from audiogon!, where did you buy your Taralabs Decade power cord from?, I am glad you did not give weinhart Design the privelege of you buying from them!, cheers!

LOL!! Not really!! In my 35+ years in this hobby I have found that what others like may, or may not be what I like. This hobby is a crapshoot at best! LOL!!

Adam, I hope that your outcome is MORE than very adequate!! LOL!! I think you are already there with all of your McCormack gear. I still remember when Steve McCormack was working for The Mod Squad!! LOL!! I used to own a Mod Squad Prism Signature CDP back in the early 90's......good times!!
