What speaker would you replace Magnepan 2.7's with.
I have Classe Pre amp 5, Classe M700 amps, Classe 1.5 CD. I would like to get speakers with more head room. I listed to the Magnepan's at their maximum potential for long durations, not abusing the speaker. Some say that conventional cone speakers are the answer since that is what is used on stage. I have listened to Magnepan's for a long time. I like the wall of sound I get from my panel speakers.
I want to stay under $3000 used.
Thank you to all that offer advice,

What does YMMV stand for?
YMMV=Your mileage may vary

I understand it as:

YMMV=Your money, my vote!
Horns that can run on very low power would be considered hi-eff or high efficiency.Maggies are far from hi-eff;)
If you don't go for the 3.6s, you might want to try the larger Duntech (Crown Prince/Princess or Sovereigns) or Dunlavy (SC IV/IVA/V) speakers, which can also give you that wall of sound you like.
