Obscure bands

Does anyone know a band called City Boy? (70's/80's)Very obscure and very original. It's beyond Me how such great talent goes so unnoticed! Also please chime in on other obscure talented musicians.

It’s been a while but I would give them 4.5 stars. We met the band before the show and they were all very pleasant but the two main guys, Roine Stolt and the other guitarist were pretty stuck on themselves.
The highlight to me was meeting the members of Gongzilla. Who are ex members of Gong. They all seemed like wonderful people and very nice. They were playing in town Saturday night but we couldn’t go see them because it rained a lot and forced Progday to move indoors and run way late.
One year we met George Underwood who did album covers for many artists including David Bowie and Gentle Giant. He had lot’s of stories and I bought some of his art. He was very gracious. I wish I could have spent more time talking to him.
Haven’t been to Progday in many years but it was fun.
it seems like this thread has turned into a mostly progressive rock discussion.  Many of the groups mentioned don't really seem to me to be "obscure", but then, I guess that's because I know about them already ;-)

Here's some more I haven't seen mentioned:

Gordion Knot
Chroma Key
OSI
Illusion
I listen to a lot of modern underground metal, so it's all obscure, except to metal-heads, but since this is more of an audiophile's forum I would recommend more of a progressive jazz with a tinge of metal ...
