I'm now a Cardas Woman. I used to be a Kimber gal

Well i was interested in the new Cardas Parsec. I bought one and went WOW! What have i been missing!
So then I bought another.. then went for the big one (seven meter pre to amp, big bucks)
Added a few more. Bought a used Golden Reference here to have for a tease..
So I went from Kimber all around to Cardas.
I liked Kimber, used them for-ever.. Nice, but this new Cardas Parsec has me. (Kimber has some catching up to do guys..) The Cardas is just more 'natural'.

This is like changing auto brand: Lifetime loyal BMW owner.. years of Beemers.. suddenly buys a Porshe! And LOVES it.

Some of them are still in shipment from Cardas. I am just so excited.

I have no answer as to 12TC over 8TC. i currently use two pair of 8TC (one run clear white on mid/tweets, other one blue black on bass) to biwire my 3.6 magnepans. I almost bought a pair of 12TC, but since I had the 8TC blue black, i decided to just ADD a pair of 8TC clear/white for the biwire.

The Parsec are the 'budget' Cardas. and the lowest priced Cardas than offer the 'signal propagation' feature.
PS the Parsec price is going up or has just gone up depending where you shop.. From $330 a meter to $368 1m pair.
IMO the cheaper not Teflon Kimber are a waste of money. Go for the 4TC or 8TC or 12 TC
Liz, do you think I might realize a significant improvement by picking up the TC grade over my current PR grade of speaker cabling. As I mentioned elsewhere, perhaps in this OP, the various grades of Kimber speaker cable (e.g., PR and TC) spec very similarly (i.e., impedance, inductance and capacitance).
If you want to have fun Eliz..get a pair of the top AntiCables.....its very instructive. They take them back anyway for a refund if not satisfied.

In theory they have a money back guarantee, though the policy does not seem to work so well in reality. I tried the Anticable speaker cables many years ago, when they first came out. $80 for a 8 foot pair. They were good bang for the buck, but could be beaten for not too much more money, so I sent them back. I'm still waiting for my refund. LOL!!

After a couple of e-mails where there was much stated about confusion of order numbers and location, they did admit they received them back, but did not know where they went, I finally gave up. I figured I was only out $80, my time was more valuable than to keep chasing after them for a refund. No sense hiring an attorney for an $80 refund. LOL!!
Elizabeth - you are doing the right thing....go back to Kimber, if your 7 meter isn't broken in now it will never happen! Pluse even if it changes don't expect much! In my experience....
