Can anyone comment on the sonic differences between the CD 1SC vs CD2S

I can't say a whole lot about the 1sc. I bought the 2s and at first it sounded great and then in my system the sound changed. It started to sound thin and bright. I tried everything but in my classe cp800 and ca2200 it was still bright. I think that in a warm tube system it will fare better but if your system is nuetral and does not have tubes then I probably wouldn't do it. I was also not happy service wise with the dealer who sold it to me. A very expensive CD player and would be concerned if you needed any service on it. I won't mention the name of where I bought it.

I have since heard better CD players at this price point. The parasound cd 1 sounds pretty good. The Vincent cd7 sounds good. I was told.

I purchased a used Ayon -CD2 about a month ago. Paired it up with a Bryston 100sst intergrated, Reference 3a Veena using Actinote MB interconnects. Did not like the sound at all! Bright, unengaging, midrange congestion. Very depressing. Seriously thought about selling the Ayon and going back to my Bel Canto CD 2/DAC3 which sound great. Then I purchased a pair of Acoustic Zen Ref. II interconnects. Whole new world! Whole new CDP!

Good Luck with it all. I just found no matter what I did the sound would go through too meant changes. From day to day I would think I found a match then the sound would change again. For the amount of they charge for it. It should not be as difficult to match up as it is.
