Doug Schroeder Method, Double ic
For anyone interested in the HAVE, Inc. products, please understand that they are a custom order house. You order it; you're stuck with it. (No refund-oriented, audition/trial period permitted.) Order from other folks if that bothers you. I would ...
Class D is just Dandy!
+1, atmasphere.

I decided to evaluate the recent digital cable HAVE sent to me. The cable is a 2-ft run Dual Canare StarQuad 110-ohm assembly terminated with Canare RCA connectors, wherein the assembly includes two paralleled Canare DA202 IC’s spliced together in...
Dynaco parts for a PAT-5
Ahhh...The Dyna PAT-5 and Dyna ST-150 were my first separates. I used to restore Dyna ST-70 tube amps in the 1990’s. There was a Ohio supplier of Dyna parts, but I’m not sure they are still in business.
Has anyone tried these stunning new CPT power cord?
@jackdThe Keces BP-2400 looks really sweet!
Class D is just Dandy!
@tweak1+1, my friend. I suspect some type of class A-class D hybrid will likely be the future for all class D topologies.

Maxima95: I’ll follow up with a pm to you.

Maxima95: They will build anything you want. A dual IC assembly terminated with standard XLR connectors should be viable. They typically need to use a slightly higher gauge StarQuad IC to accommodate all the spliced, paralleled conductors in the c...

My HAVE, Inc. contacts sent me a dual 110-ohm IC assembly terminated with RCA connectors when I ordered a dual 110-ohm IC assembly terminated with AES/EBU connectors. Just sent them an email about it.
The Truth about Modern Class D
@tweak1I never receive notifications about new posts. I recently noticed the autocorrect features of the forum posts no longer work. And the search engine functions of the forum are now disabled (zero hits as search results).
The Truth about Modern Class D
Sorry for the duplicative (and now-deleted) posts. System error with the site and not the user. 😬😬My previous post is made against a backdrop of using a Spectron class D amp to drive Dunkavy SC-IVa’s. So I readily accept using a single-run of IC’s...
The Truth about Modern Class D
@erik_squiresThe Schroeder Method for parallel IC’s works, but strongly recommended against its use with class D amplifier topologies owing to the increased bandwidth of signal transmission of the IC’s into the realm of the switching frequencies o...
A DAC that crushes price vs. performance ratio
Language is always difficult. And the language descriptors used in hi-end audio is a lexicon dating back to at least J. Gordon Holt of Stereophile days. I seem to recall having or seeing such a compilation back in the 1980’s. Perhaps @teajay has s...
Has anyone tried these stunning new CPT power cord?
Because Kemper sold his soul to the devil. He’s being compensated for his new status, according to Mark’s last post.
Has anyone tried these stunning new CPT power cord?
@tuffy72561The CPT owner is selling off product inventory via one of his relatives. CPT is not going to be fulfilling any promises of product or refunds. That task has been assigned to the new entity who is buying the CPT assets, IP and brand. Don...
