| Is Nelson's pre as good as his amp ? Jshaw, sorry you are right about that, I was going from memory and now that you mention it, I do remember it that way. | |
| any cdr's that will play on Audio aero prima? I have had no problems playing CDRs on my Prima, computer burned CDRs always seem to have more problems playing than the burns done on dedicated CDR machines | |
| Is Nelson's pre as good as his amp ? The Aleph 2 manual says that there is no penalty in audio quality for using the RCA inputs. | |
| Best Isolation Devices? I would highly reccomend the Grand Prix Audio racks. I have recently added a rack and some amp stands in two different systems. The benefits of these devices was simply amazing, really you'd have to experience it to believe what these can do for a... | |
| FIM Gold: Flexible Alternatives. I like the standard and even better the Signature cords. I have also used and still own the FIM cord. I think the Elrod is better and definately easier to use. I also agree with you on the Duos, which by the way I use Elrod EPS 3 sigs for the subs | |
| Pass Labs ALEPH 5 vs ALEPH 2 I have owned both the Aleph 3 at 30 watts and the 2s. I upgraded to the 2s from the 3 mostly for more power. The power difference was not that much, a little better bass. I did actually prefer the sound of the 3 however overall. I kept the 2s sinc... | |
| Audio Aero Prima or Consonance REF 2.2 cd player. I have said to many times as has Warren that the Prima is one killer player. I've compared it to and own some high dollar players and for the money I would imagine it would be very hard to beat | |
| Where are your maggies?? check out the Cardas website, there is a section there with suggestions and a formula for placing planar speakers. We used the formula with my friends 1.6s and it worked great. | |
| Speakers that sing I would second the reccomendation for the Maggie 3.6. I have a friend who used to have a Levinson 333 with the Nautilus 802s and all high dollar transparent cabling. He needed to recoup some money from his sytem so he downgraded to the Bryston 4B ... | |
| Audio Aero Prima Owner's Musical Taste Yeah I bought my Prima from Tony too. I second Warren's enthusiasm. I compared it to my Capitole Mk 2 and it's pretty close to just as good. I listen to quite a bit of different types of music and everything sounds great without a hint of digititi... | |
| Just got a BAT VK1000 ? What you will have is a VK 500 after the conversion to stereo. There is plenty of info in the VK 500, it is known to be a very fine amp. | |
| audioquest vs acoustic zen/kimber digital cable I agree I used to own the D60 and sold it after getting the MC2, the D60 had dull flat sound compared to the MC2. I also tried the Nite and didn't feel like it was worth the asking price over the MC2. I did slightly prefer it, just not at 3x the p... | |
| Thinking Jupiter I have owned and know well the sound of the Planet. I recently upgraded to the Audio Aero Prima (basically the same price as the Jupiter) and it just kills the Planet in every way, in fact is is very close to as good as the Audio Aero Capitole Mk ... | |
| Where is my weakest link? Your cables aren't up to par with the rest of your system in my opinion. I've owned the cables you have as well as the 150SEs and personally I would think you are missing out on quite a bit with the Audioquest cables | |
| Is there a"giant Killer" CDP ? I own the Capitole Mk 2 and Prima, for 2 different systems. I have compared the Prima to the Capitole and the Capitole is just a little bit better, not by much. The Capitole Mk 2 is considered by many to be one of the best players at any price, so... |
