My Long List of Amplifiers and My Personal Review of Each!
Hello WCSS, I had also found a common theme in the house sound of Luxman and Rowland, in spite that the two companies are using different technologies.I am looking forward to your side-by-side experience of Block Audio and M925.... As for M535, th...

Hello aolmrd1241, I now have most of the pieces of the eval post.... Need to stitch them together, remove burrs, integrate a few more bits of technical information, and audible observations, and then I will post to Audiogon.G. and

Hello Recevs, how dare you believing in your own class D creations ;) You should instead prostrate yourself and squirm in shhame, while grovelling and begging undeserved forgiveness from the righteous paperholic and Martin colloms-fearing audio mo...

Hello Viber, I have made no secret that I do love M535, and that this bridgeable amplifier is a stellar high performer at its price point... Having said this, M925 is superior overall, except perhaps for M535 being subtly more open in the treble. ...

So, George, are you enjoying the music from the the Technics amp in your system? Does it make good music? Or is this still pure oscilloscopic voyeurism that you foisting on us all?G.

There goes George with his dark conspiracies and kabalas... Fascinating stuff really.... Except that blind men -- e.g. your truly -- use their ears, and he apparently does not.... Perhaps a deaf audiophile?! :)

Thezacks++++++Grey, there is  a fine line between expressing one's views and harping... You made your point clearly and unambiguously.... Time to move all back onto the core topic of this fine watering hole of our shared obsession.Regards, G.

Hello WCSS, actually at shows manufacturers tend to borrow equipment from one another, or partner for the use of a suite or room.... The more common issue IMO is that they tend to bring in components and cables that are factory fresh.... Result is...

Hello WCSS, I understand your position about M925 perfectly... As much as I deem M535 to be fantastic, particularly at their ridiculous price point, they are edged by M925s.... Perhaps with the exception of M535 feeling even more open than the big...

Yep George, 'tis all one dark ominous conspiracy at the expense of brave audiophiles worldwide... There are rumors of a mysterious kabala of notorious class D mongers to undermine the Faith of righteous audiophrenes. Could even be the "deep HiFi S...

George, Merrill is not so much interested in achieving high switching frequencies. He seems to be using GaN to reduce dead states.BTW, here is the latest Merrill newsletter, where he talks about the Element 116, which he will sell for about $22K. ...

Hi WCSS, my own staging experience with the Rowland M925 seems quite different from yours, and more in synch from what I have heard reported from other long term M925 users....my listening room is 19.5 feet wide by 24 feet deep, and has a further ...
The Future of Audio Amplification
Hello George, as far as I know there were no "evaluation boards" of any kind in the Merrill Element 118 prototype. The circuit is entirely designed/implemented by Merrill from the ground up using discrete components, including the in-circuit appli...

Hello Tweak1, are you referring to  amps designed around Gallium Nitride transistors?  I have had a mono amp in my system designed around Gallium Nitride (GaN) transistors for just a few days last spring. It was a still incomplete but lovely proto...
