Review: Zu Cable Druid Speaker
Pardales,Thanks for the comment. I haven't heard the VR-4Jr's for over a year, so I can't easily compare the two. You can take a look at this link to see some of the comments that I made shortly after comparing them to the Gallo Ref 3's.http://for...
I've come to the realization...
Try DiMarzio M-Path Interconnects and Super M-Path Speaker Cables. I use them with my Gallo Ref3's. They are in your price range and a great value. Additionally, they provide the sound you seek and compete with much more expensive calbes.Good Luck...

Gallo REfF3's-All their cracked up to be?
If you are looking for owners that have stuck with them for awhile, I upgraded from Quad ESL-63's to Gallo Ref 3's about 2 years ago after auditioning countless other speakers. I have written a lot about them on these forums, and still think as hi...
what is an audiophile ?
On these forums, audiophiles listen to their equipment while music lovers listen to music. "Audiophiles" might listen to the same few songs over and over because they happen to sound good on their system.Beware of those that overly critisize audio...
help with a lush 50 watt+ amp
If you want a vintage tube sound, why not try a vintage amp? If you can live with a few less watts, a Fisher 400 might do the trick.Jeff

Atkchi,My listening session with the Harbeth was not nearly as extended as my session with the Druid, and it was not with my music. I am hesitant to write an in depth analysis comparing the two since that was not my objective. I will give you a fe...

Evita,Your experience with the Druids was very different from mine. Please give a few more specifics about your auditions. Where did you hear them? What were the associated componenets? How long did you listen? What types of music did you listen t...

Warren,The jazz that I sampled was brought to the show by another attendee. It was on vinyl, but I didn't catch the artist / band or the album title. Sorry I can't be more help.Earflappin,The definitions were not available for audition, but I'd lo...
Soliloquy 6.2i vs VS vr4jr , Zu Druid & Usher 6371
Evita,Thanks for the response. I can't explain how two watts and a speaker that rolls off at 40 Hz performs with so little compromise. I'm sure that's a secret that Zu and Yamamoto want to keep.I have auditioned countless single driver, high-effec...

I sampled a wide variety of music. My selections consisted primarily of rock and jazz. Counting Crows, Jack Johnson, Bob Marley, Natalie Merchant, and Alison Krauss to name just a few. I am familiar with most of the music that I heard during the D...

Soliloquy 6.2i vs VS vr4jr , Zu Druid & Usher 6371
One concern I have with the Druids is that it seems to be a small handful of enthusiasts that rush to claim how great they are at every opportunity. The fan base does not seem as wide-spread as for components that I would consider true classics su...
