Do enzymes only live for 8 hours
Doesn't seem to make a lot of sense. If the enzymes they use are only good for 8-10 hours, why wouldn't they "die" sitting in the bottle before they even get to you?

I have a couple of Lenco platters, one has ridges around the rim inside and the other doesn't. No way you could design a "universal" Lenco motor using rim drive, you'd have to drive the underside of the platter. But the other question about the Ga...
Lenco , With Rega geometry is there some thing
The original Lenco arm has an effective length of about 229 mm, so if you want to do a minimum amount of cutting you need to look for arms of the same length. This includes the Audioquest, Hadcock, Linn, Mayware and Mission arms. The Rega arm has ...

Best bang for the buck turntable?
If you're willing to DIY, a modified Lenco can sound very good - less than $1K but you'll have to build your own plinth. See the Building High End Tables cheap at Home Despot II thread elsewhere under Analog. The original thread reached well over ...
Best place to connect phono preamp to Fisher 500C?
The Fisher 500C has a phono input, but it is designed for moving magnet type output levels, whereas your Linn cartridge has a much lower output. With your current equipment, probably the simplest thing to do is to plug the Linn arm output into you...

StefanlI believe that both the US/Canada and European models can be used with either 120V or 240V just be changing the wiring connections, probably equivalent to a universal power transformer that can be used for 120V or 240V AC by connecting the ...

Boy, it's been dead around here :-). Just a quick note about the original Lenco arm, in case anyone is still using it instead of tossing it in the trash. In Stereophile Vol. 2, they published a reprint of an article from Hi Fi Sound (British) whi...

Jean,Also, do you fill it up to the brim, or just to the height of the built in screw holes for the four 4 mm bolts? Enquiring minds want to know! :-)Jim

Jean,I think there are quite a few marine grade epoxy resins, could you be more specific? Hopefully something available at Home Despot. And do you add any fiberglass, or just the epoxy?Jim
Lenco 75 versus Garrard 301?
Unfortunately, Albert's posts were in the now deleted Audiogon thread. If you check on the Home Despot II thread there is a link to someone who saved the thread but there are over 3500 posts to the entire thread so that's a lot of reading. Since h...

Lenco 75 versus Garrard 301?
Re: the Schroeder reference and 4yanx's comments, I haven't even laid eyes on one, let alone heard one, but it IS worth noting that Schroeder uses a Garrard 301 as his reference table so in fact it should work extremely well with the Garrard or th...

Hi, Fishwinker,Another suggestion, I have run into a Lenco that actually had the cone assembly bent so that the rotor/cone assembly wobbled sideways, which also caused the idler wheel to wobble back and forth. To diagnose this, take the platter of...

I have to say that 4yanx has been probably the most innovative plinth makers on the old thread, as well as having some of the most gorgeous craftsmanship. Probably the first to have really heavy plinths, the first to have the arm mounted on a sepa...
