Ok, I ordered two SVS SB 1000 subs. Rythmik is out of the driver and finish I wanted. Also, trying my existing sub in the room indicated serious bass drop out in certain spots so I decided to go with the dual subs. Since this string was started, S...

Killing BluRay, new Oppo BR 83
Macdadtexas, what exactly did you tell us?Read this link for an update on the format wars:http://hometheater.about.com/b/2013/08/06/blu-ray-disc-sales-up-15-percent-for-the-first-half-of-2013.htmBasically, it says Bluray player and disk sales are ...
Harbeth sound with high wife acceptance factor?
I am a Harbethophile, so sympathetic to your plight. In addition to Spendor, I would also look at ProAc's smaller floor standers. Also, at a much lower price point than the C7, the Quad 21L2's might work for you, generally very high WAF, and apeal...

Thanks for the input and the references Bob. I am leaning towards two SB12-NSD's or more likelyone Rythmik F12 (for now). The Rythmik cost a little more per box, but has more flexibility in adjusting sound for the room. Both review and measure ver...

Thanks for the additional suggestions. What about 1 or 2 SVS SB12-NSD? I am concerned that a 13" thousand watt sub is going to be overkill in a room under 65 cubic meters.

I think it is a 2.5 way in MTM physical layout. I ordered the Apex's based on reviews and personal experience with the less sophisticated MA Radius series larger wall mounts and the MA Silver RX 1 bookshelf speakers that have components similar to...

It is the RW-8. It has worked well in a small room for music, but perhaps it is not really up to mid-fi HT duty in a medium sized room, even if just to supplement the surround channels.

Thanks Bob, I am actually running Apex 40's for the front left and right and center, and Apex 10's for the rears. Your comments are still valid as none of the Apex speakers can be considered "large". The Klipsch is pretty fast, so the idea was to ...

Correction, I meant to ask for input on the Dynaudio 300 sub.

Thanks for the tip willland, that looks like a great deal. Was looking for black or white sub, but will consider your suggestion based on value.

Wow, thanks for all the input. I currently have on hand an older Klipsch 8" that I was considering running along with whatever I buy to help even out sound in room, and maybe run with high level inputs for surround channels plus LFE, then running ...
Arcam vs Marantz vs NAD receiver?
Arcam wins. I listened carefully to both the NAD T758 and the Arcam AVR 400 driving the B&W sats in two channel, and the Arcam was clearly better. The NAD sounds good, but the Arcam was more refined with more body and detail, and an airier tre...
Arcam vs Marantz vs NAD receiver?
Thanks for your replies. The data comes HT review bench tests. Not manufacturers declared specs. Thanks for the votes for all three;-). I think the Arcam is probably the most high fi of the three. I might buy all three to test and keep the one tha...
Has anybody tried Sounds Heavenly cables?
Follow up, I compared their standard RCAs to my other cables on hand in my reference headphone system and found them comparable or slightly better than other well made entry level cables (Audioquest, Monster or Auvio), but not as revealing or musi...
