Do speaker cables need a burn in period?
This has degenerated into one big pie fight that has nothing to do with audio and everything to do with ego.How many times must we read the same links and arguments that have already been tossed in the dung heap of history? Nothing new or revelato...
JBL - almost nothing for sale, why?
Good for you. There are only so many ways one can reinvent a speaker.People like to talk about the hype with cables and yet speakers get a pass. "Old" speakers like JBL make for some great music. All the best,Nonoise
Military grade
No more crazier than mil spec meals.
Marantz SA-10 vs SA-KI Ruby
The Ruby versions probably have some better parts and implementation than the standard versions, much like my Marantz PM-15S2b has over the PM-15S2 or S1. In my case, Ken Ishiwata took some of what he did with the Pearl series (also limited to 500...
NEW integrated amp from Kinki Studio: EX-M1 - Good enough to replace my Pass Stack?? YES!
Yes, tell us @secretguy what the hub bub is concerning someone's background and your snark: mono blocks of the century when it wasn't  even implied. All the best,Nonoise
Looking for fado music that is well recorded.
What a coincidence. I'd just watched a Rick Steves' trip to Lisbon on KCET and Fado was part of the journey; listening to the sad and love torn songs as he ate. Anyone could sing including a cook who took a break from the kitchen. Here's an articl...
nice felt glove for moving speakers and not getting skin oil on the wood?
Mechanics gloves work well for me. They have that non-slip feature on the fingers and palms and so far haven't marred the surface of anything I own. I've found cotton and microfibre gloves to allow too much slippage and therefore, not enough grip ...

You are now immortalized. Welcome to the club. The best thing about it is your fame will last far longer than 15 minutes as you'll open the ears of others who will thank you for what you've done. I know it may sound corny but I mean it. 👍All the b...
More discrete R2R dac's, Cyan 3 different models.
As good as the reviews have been for the R2R designs, it's good to see an even less expensive version for PCM and DSD. Let's hope they sound as good as they seem.I first heard the Holo Spring (can't remember which version) at an audio show doing i...

It's nice to know that someday, someone, will google 'Kinki EX-M1' and all of our reviews will come up, along with photos of our systems. 😉

Great review Marvin. I like your honesty with the (costly) comparisons and how the Kinki still holds it's own. On a side note, I always wondered what happened to Stereomojo as it was one of my go-to sites for reviews. All the best,Nonoise
Why should we think of "what microphones heard " as a standard
The CD that Tony Minasian put out recently, Drums & Bells, which has  tremendous dynamic range, was recorded with one of his cheaper mics. Tony told me it cost under $50. It all lies with the engineer and how he records it.All the best,Nonoise
Do people really just not get it that their items are not selling...

I'll admit I'm biased since I have the Kinki but I'd have to be in the room to be able to really judge them. The Class D Rowlands sounded a bit flat and unemotional compared to the Kinki. It could be my computer rig, which is no great shakes. All t...
