| High Fidelity Cables CT-1designed by Rick Schultz Ptss, all threads soon attract posters such as you that destroy the exchange of experiences into "mine is bigger than yours" contests. I long ago attended the Long Island audio society meetings which always had similar contests. A friend and I fre... | |
| Is computer audio a bust? Cerrot, I certainly shared your opinion of the USB connection earlier and even sold my USB Dac 1 Pre even after an improved USB input was installed. But BMC certainly improved the USB input in their new PureDac and with their Pure USB-1 cable.Also... | |
| High Fidelity Cables CT-1designed by Rick Schultz Leicachamp, my first two cables from HFC were a pair of the original CT-1s and a pair of Enhanced. When I first put the CT-1s in I was shocked at what I heard. They did not sound like anything I heard before, being so extended on the top end and s... | |
| High Fidelity Cables CT-1designed by Rick Schultz Jmcgrogan2, given this exchange I think you can see the fundamental reality that no one has heard many fine cables. It is irrelevant to me that the Tara Labs were not really what the HFCs were compared to. Having not really heard much that interes... | |
| High Fidelity Cables CT-1designed by Rick Schultz Jmcgrogan2, I suspect that no one else would have the same cables as Calvinj compared with the Ultimate Reference cables. As you probably know I think other than saying one man's opinion and experiences, postings are worthless as all of our system... | |
| Absolute top tier DAC for standard res Redbook CD Mattnshilp, I used to greatly favor Firewire as the best connection and even had a FW to SP Dif converter. Then Apple who owns Firewire totally pulled the rug out from under it and third parties that made converters. I also used to greatly dislike... | |
| High Fidelity Cables CT-1designed by Rick Schultz Jmcgrogan2, I think Calvinj means without the HFCables of all sorts that he has. I took only one HFC URR pc and the full loom of HFC UR ics and speaker wires with me to New Mexico. Now that I'm back to my big system, I realize how important other ... | |
| Is computer audio a bust? JoecaseyJoecasey, I agree but it does suggest that the longer time means that errors are more common, that Essence of Music reduces them. It probably does not mean much in ripping, but the ripping with the treatment sounds noticeably better, and I... | |
| Hall of Fame: BIGGEST BADDEST Monster Amps Only three are notable, the Phase Linear 700, the Ampzilla, and the Sanders Magtech. | |

| Is computer audio a bust? My music server comes with a TEAC optical drive with Linux program for ripping with many checks for errors. I have found that ripping is much faster when the cds are treated with the Essence of Music cd treatment and clearly sound better also. | |
| High Fidelity Cables CT-1designed by Rick Schultz Ddraudt, like you I first heard the URR. You were there, I think, when I put the Ultimate in. I would tell them to buy the two URRs. Put one on the ac filter and one on the stereo amp. My problem is having mono blocks. I'm to get a new music serve... | |
| Is computer audio a bust? Tortilladc, I agree with you that a $200 chromebook would sound as good as a $2000 game rig. Both would be little better than MP3.I am not interested in such noise. | |
| H-CAT DAC Guys, I can now get in contact with Roger Paul, and he promises to get his webpage up to date with contact numbers. He will do repairs if needed. It is unlikely that he will restart making his units. | |
| Is computer audio a bust? Charles1dad, while I like avoiding Op amps and his other emphases, I need the Sabre chip for my music server and it double DSD. Thanks for the information. |
